Charcoal just looks at Clock. "What? Oh you mean these?" he asks, extending the three fingers from his mechanical hoof. "They're just for fine manipulation. You wouldn't believe the amount of stuff you can do with them though."

"I know what fingers are for, but... fingers... on a hoof?"

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"So your people are nomadic despite having nobility? Next thing you're going to tell me is that you live in Teepees." Painkiller rolls his eyes and plops his ass down. "Sounds to me like finding a single place to stay," e examines his fore-hooves for chips or cracks, "even making a place to stay would be the better option. Base of operations would make a far better asset to your militant people." Finding nothing that would hinder him from walking for extended periods.

Shadow double checks to make sure all his gear is on properly then nudges Cherry"Love, it's time ta get up."

"Ooookay."She sighs then rolls out of bed, putting on her gear"Ya know, Shadow. Maybe ya should go talk ta some of the folks, might make a friend."

Shadow sighs"Blossom,ah don't need a friend, ah have you. That's good enough."

"But please, go talk to someone. Hmm, how 'bout that big unicorn, the cyber one."

"No, ah don't want ta."

"Please?"

"Blossom ah-"

"Shadow, yer gonna go talk ta somepony, and yer gonna like it! Understand."

He nods"Y-yes ma'am."

"Good, now go on. Ah'll find ya in bit."She smiles

He walks out of the Inn, and finds Cast Iron. He walks over to him and stands there."....Howdy...."

"Clock. It's mechanical, remember? It was just something they had added on. It was kinda weird at first, but know, I don't know what I would do without them."

Charcoal looks at the contents of the pan, satisfied that the food was done cooking, he pulls the pot off of the fire and stomps the fire out with his mechanical hoof.

[Tytan]

"It's just... a little weird I guess. I'm having trouble imagining what it'd be like. Not that I need them *tap horn*, but... you know... fingers."

[Ironmonger]

Cast Iron hears that he's being addressed and turns to investigate. Seeing that it's the umbramancer, he subtly adopts a defensive stance. "Good day to you. I never caught your name."

"It's Shadow, go figure."He sits down and notices Cast's stance"Relax. Ah ain't gonna do anythin', just here 'cause ah was asked ta hang around folks."

[Ironmonger]

Cast Iron shakes his head and smacks himself for being rude. "My apologies, I am being rude vithout trying. Mages make me a bit uneasy."

"It's hard to explain. Doesn't help that I can't really feel anything other than dull sensations in this hoof anyways. The fingers can feel when extended, but only on the insides of them. Anyways the food is ready. Fried cram and beans, not exactly my specialty, but it was the best I could do at the moment," he says with a sheepish grin.

"Understandable. Lots of folks feel that way 'round me, can't say ah blame'em."He shrugs then looks at painkiller"Might ah ask who ya are? Ya don't have ta answer, if ya don't want."

"Thanks for cooking... so you can't feel that much? I thought they had enchantments and spell matrices for helping with that. I know Viktor does."

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

Painkiller has no problems with being rude. "You know, when two ponies are having a conversation, its generally seen as rude when other ponies interrupt. I'm Doctor Painkiller, yes I have an actual degree and no, I won't tell you where I got it." Painkiller waves a hoof in the air to emphasize his point.

While limping through town, Mincemeat notices the White Pegasus. He hobbles over, "Oh! Hey, uh.... you. You're one of the ponies who escaped Fiddler's Hoof, right?"

Shadow shrugs"Eh, ah'll keep that in mind next time ah see someone talkin'. And 'bout yer degree, ah wasn't gonna ask anyways."

[Ironmonger]

Cast Iron jabs the Doktor in the shoulder very lightly. "He acts like a bastard but he's really not. You get used to his mannerisms after a vile. It is quite refreshing, actually. Some of the ozzers seem like zey are just trying to get in eachozzers skirts or somezing."

[XT Vengeance]

"I couldn't afford it at the time, and don't worry about it. I like cooking, it's peaceful."

Cherry looks at Mincemeat"Uh, no, ah've never been ta Fiddler's Hoof. But are ya part of that group my partner and ah ran inta last night?"

Shadow looks at Cast"Eh, the doc ain't bad. and as long as they keep their hooves ta them selves and don't mess with me or Blossom, ah could care less what they do."

"Right, okay, pretty much the same thing." He waves his hoof dismissively, before leaning in conspiratorially, "Where did they all go? They all just spread off into the town!

Clearly the don't understand the significance of this series of unfortunate events!" he pauses, "Series of One, to be fair, but I've got a good feeling about these ponies."

Painkiller shuffles his balance from the overly large pony's light pokes. "I'm hurt, really I am, I think I need to see a doctor. Now that I think about it, that Unicorn Doctor 'My daddy taught me everything I know' Cockwork or something? I recall her outside the inn last night. "

"Like..." He waves his hoof, as if fishing for the right words. It doesn't come up.

He deflates, tapping his chin, "Put it like this - Over the past couple of months I've had the worst fate since Beardo the Bearded. Very unlucky, I consider myself.

But I've learned the mystical art of 'avoiding even remotely dangerous scenarios', so I have an eye for these things. But something about these, these... misfits has me excited!"

[XT Vengeance]

"I...there wasn't enough stuff left from the wreckage of our caravan..." Charcoal's eyes go wide as he realizes what he just said. "I..." he stammers.

Cherry raises her eyebrow and slightly backs up"Uh huh. Um, and if ya decided ta avoid danger, then why follow these folks?"

Shadow taps his chin"Clockwork...Uh, which one was that?"

[Tytan]

Clock nods in understanding, "We all have our stories." Clock pulls back the tail of her coat to show him her scarred flank.

"Nooo," He says, frustrated, "That's not what I was saying, what I was trying to -- Ow." He had just pointed with his burned hoof, and retracted it with a yelp. "I should really do something about this... Can you help me find Doctor? Not the one at the Clinic, I don't trust professionals."

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"Cockwork would be the gray unicorn doctor wanna be. Mommy probably taught her sewing and daddy how to fix a boo boo and decided to play math with a pony's skin. I still have to inspect that mare's stitches." Painkiller replies with no little sarcasm to his tone.

[Guest]

"Oh, okay. Ah can't help ya, she might of been. But ah don't know."He shrugs

Cherry looks at Mincemeat slightly confused"....Um, sure..."

[XT Vengeance]

"Yeah. We all do." he says solemnly.

Charcoal reaches back to his saddlebags and pulls a spoon from it. "Here you go. I'll just use the empty can," he says pouring half of the food into it and passing the pot to the mare.
