"... time you want to travel the wastes, don't go it alone, and for Celestia's sake if you're going to be that big of an idiot, bring water with you." A rough, gravely voice resonates patronizingly. "You were lucky I was with the caravan, they would have just left you for dead. You didn't have enough caps for the toll, guards took some of your ammunition instead. rest for the night and in the morning, I'd ask around for some trade if I were you."

Dr. Painkiller backed out of a tent when a voice answered him in the affirmative, albeit weakly. "Stupid, just stupid. Used up most of my stock saving that moron. Oaths be damned!"

The pony doctor trotted about the camp seeking an available tent. The last thing he wanted was to share one with a patient; it might get attached to him. More than a few horrified stares were passed his way as solicitors mistook him at a glance for a ghoul. Having over a third of your visible hide permanently scarred would do that to a pony. doesn't help that his coat refuses to grow back. One caught his attention, just as another pony was going on about guns and brandishing his weapon about with a discipline found in rookie soldiers. He was a rather large Unicorn, and he was standing in front of the only available tent Painkiller could find.

Picking out the monstrous pony's accent, Painkiller addresses him in his Native tongue, "Actung! What the hell are you thinking brandishing your weapon about like that with so many others around!"

He's grateful he studied Germane as an elective in school. Funny how the Enclave still kept some things from dying out above the clouds.

[Ironmonger]

Cast Iron's training kicks in as he snaps to attention at the sound of his native language, straightening his posture and immediately lowering his rifle back to whence it came. "My apologies, sir. I was only attempting to inform zeh varmachine of his major error in choice of veapons, sir." It was like he was back home again because few outside his country, if any, knew how to speak the Germane language. Reality strikes him a moment later, and his facial expression shows his surprise and confusion. "...Vait a minute.". He takes a moment to assess the one addressing him. "How do you know my language?"

"I'd wager the real question is 'Why is a Colt like you wandering these wastes so far from Home?'" Painkiller replies in Germane, the accent off only slightly from his rather textbook non-cultural immersion studies. "From your response, you are some kind of military."

The pony doctor growls and pokes his hoof in the massive pony's chest, "Which leads me to believe you must have slept through weapons safety. Fucking Kids."

His voice carries an almost tinny quality when it resonates, his breathing wheezes only slightly, as though it were mechanical, nearly imperceptible if one was not paying attention or seeking the difference.

Crusher gives off a confused beep.
"Not like we had much choice. And what's the other guy's problem?"
[Perception 10] "The rifle was unloaded, safety on, and pointed at the ground..." Dr. Oc turns back to face Viktor.
"Well, that's a nice sized hole. Say, what did you say you do for a living?"

[Tytan]

"Viktor guard."

He simply shrugs in response. "Exsposed yourself to a stranger?" he suggested.

[Tytan]

"I'd feel less exposed if I were dancing around a metal pole."

[Aonee]

"Well, we don't have anywhere else to go... Can we join you?"
Dr. Oc looks up and smiles at Viktor.
[Charisma=10]Crusher looks up as well, making a pleading sort of beep.

[Tytan]

Viktor shifts uncomfortably, "Ask Clock. Is her decide."

[Aonee]

The Doctor nods. "Okay. Thanks."
Crusher gets up and walks over to Clock, waiting for her to finish her conversation.

[Katarn]

"Ugh...I never get used to this..." Novae said, trying to chew piece of Cram.
"I don't know why you're so selective in food." Jay said swallowing big piece of meat.
"Yeah, that's a mystery..." Novae said looking inside half-empty can.

[Guest]

"Shaking your ass around is just a job. If anything it would go on a list not really part of who you are just something you do." He stated plainly.

"What am I?" He thought to himself contemplating not so much searching for the answer as he was deciding whether or not to divulge it. "I wouldn't recommend exposing yourself to strangers in the future."

He stood from the fire and found a tent to rest in.

[Tytan]

Clock thinks for a moment, remembering, "Yeah, won't be doing that again."

She notices the ponitron looking at her almost expectantly, "Can I help you?"

[Aonee]

"We were wondering if you had a spot open for another guard, wherever you are going."

[Tytan]

"Uh, I guess so. I hope you don't plan on getting paid any time soon. I spent the last of my caps getting drunk."

[Aonee]

"Oh no, that's okay. All we need is periodic maintenance, really."
Crusher makes an excited beep.
Dr. Octo appears atop the Ponitron's head. "By the way, I'm Dr. Octo and he's Crusher."

[Tytan]

"If all you need is fixin' I can do that. Do it for Vik all the time.

Doctor, eh? Doctor of what?"

[Aonee]

"Uhh... I'm not to sure actually. They lab boys never told my what my PhD was in, or even why I had one... It's just part of my name, I guess."

[Tytan]

"Huh. Cute. Maybe you'll figure it out."

[Katarn]

Taps lightly Clock on shoulder. "So you don't care which species you treat..like you would treat me the same way as you would my dad, even if he's a griffin?"

[Tytan]

Clock turns to see a zebra mare, "Oh, hi there. Uh, no I don't care. Wait. Your Dad's a gryphon?" Clock does the mental math. Gryphon+ ? = Zebra? "And... you mom was a Zebra? Did they... know each other long?"

[Katarn]

Half-closes eyes and smiles. "They've never meet each other."

[Tytan]

Clock is completely confused, "Well... they must've... you can't... and then... wait, what?"

[Aonee]

Crusher looks at Novae, and skews his head.
Dr. Oc does the same. "Wait, inter-species realtionships don't even work like... What?"

[Katarn]

"Want some?" Holds out can of half-finished Cram.

[Tytan]

"What? No thanks. Uh, could you explain how your mom and dad never met?"

[Katarn]

"You're silly. I've just told you - they never meet each other." Leans closer and pulls Clock. "I hope they never will. Or dad might hurt my dad."

[Tytan]

"................."

Clock facehooves.

[Aonee]

"... So, you have two dads then? A biological one, and and an adoptive one, I guess?"

[Katarn]

"See...." Looks at Octo. "...whatever you are, get it!"
