"You could do that," He says, circling Charcoal, "Or you can tell me. I'm great at relationship advice, you know."

[XT Vengeance]

"Squawk."

"Yeah. You're right Scorch. All I can do is try." After responding, Charcoal gets up and trots over to the tent being guarded by the sand dog.

"Uh. Hi there. Is...there any way I could talk to the mare you are guarding? I just want to introduce myself," Charcoal says, nervous about meeting the mare, despite the advice his friend had given him.

[Tytan]

Viktor grumbles and moves aside, keeping his eyes on Charcoal.

Clock is still awake, and a bit less inebriated. At least she isn't slurring her words.

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal is silent for a couple seconds before he builds up some courage.

"Hi there, my...my name is Charcoal. I just wanted to say hello, sorry if I was interrupting."

[Tytan]

Clock looks at the pony, "No, you're not interrupting. Vik's got a nasty habit of tryin' to keep me away from others when I drink."

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal shifts nervously. "Well, I uh...I just wanted to say hello. I kinda didn't want to bother you but my friend talked me into it..."

[Tytan]

"Look, whatever your friends told you isn't true. I don't sleep with ponies for money. I never have and I never plan to... Well that's not technically true. I only plan to if I'm really desperate. And trust me, I'm not quite there just yet."

[XT Vengeance]

"..what?" Charcoal asks, an extremely confused look on his face. "I just...I just came by to say hello..."

[Scyto Harmony]

Mincemeat 'harumph!'s, and looks around the campfire before he spots Tumbleweed, "Hello there more-normal-looking-then-the-others, what's your name?"

[Tytan]

"What? Oh... Well... This is embarrassing."

[XT Vengeance]

"I'll...just go. Sorry to have bothered you Miss," he says turning to leave.

[Aonee]

Both Crusher and Dr. Octo are looking on at Clock and Charcoal's interaction, Dr. Octo with a bemused expression on his digitally projected face.

He clears his throat. "Tumbleweed, you?"

[Tytan]

"No no. You can stay. It's just... You wouldn't have been the first to proposition me. It gets a little tiring."

[Scyto Harmony]

"Mincemeat," He looks around, "Tell me, are you one of those types who gets into dangerous situations a lot?"

[Guest]

He raises an eyebrow. "Not particularly? I try to avoid what I can. Why?"

[XT Vengeance]

"Proposition you? What do you...wait...WHAT?" he yells in surprise. "You...you thought i was...I just wanted to...I mean I wasn't," he stammers.

[Scyto Harmony]

"Ah, of course, for the safety of the small one in your pack, right?"

He taps his chin, "How do you make your way? Scavenging?"

[Tytan]

"No, I get it. You aren't. You just wanted to introduce yourself like a gentlecolt, and I just jumped to conclusions.

Maybe we should start over." She offers her hoof, "Hi, my names Clockwork. You can call me Clock."

[Guest]

"You could call it that..."

[survival] "I can tell the difference between a useful plant and a weed, so that keeps the two of us going. And plants don't tend to shoot at you, Some of them can spit pretty nasty though." He grunts. "What about you? Adventure your kind of thing?"

[XT Vengeance]

He calms down after a moment and then returns the hoofshake. "Pleased to meet you Miss Clockwork, my name is Charcoal. Sorry about freaking out, I don't really spend much time around other ponies anymore, especially ponies like you," he stops, realizing what just slipped out of his mouth.

[Tytan]

She cocks an eyebrow and her tone is slightly critical, "Ponies like me?"

[Scyto Harmony]

"You... could say that." He hazards, "Although it's more of I'm in adventures, rather then being an adventurer."

He shakes his head, "But boy are you lucky! See, most of the best scrap has been scavenge over the past hundred or so years, so things are going up and up in value! Supply and Demand! Well, what hasn't been taken is things locked away being computer-activated doors, and... uh... other computer activated things!"

"It's a hard world, but with my help, you could open those doors and be rich! Or at least, slightly more wealthy! You could buy your little girl a..." He looks at the bag, "A hat, or something. I don't even want a cut of the profit, so long as I have food. All I ask is that you take me with you and try not to let somepony kill me! What deal, eh?"

He smiles, but has a look of desperation in his eyes.

[XT Vengeance]

[Charisma 6 (5+1)] "I didn't mean it that way. I just have a hard time talking to...pretty mares." Charcoal shifts uncomfortably. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have bothered you," he says turning to leave the tent.

[Tytan]

Clock puts a hoof on his shoulder. "If you wanted to talk to a pretty mare, all you had to do was ask."

[Guest]

He looks critically at Mincemeat something about what he was saying just seemed off, but he was also desperate.

"What threat could one desperate pony be?"

"For now." He grunted. "But you're on your own with the doors, anything worth scavenging is protected."

[Scyto Harmony]

"I understand, sorry to be a bother-- Wait, I can?" He blinks, "Oh, Man! You won't regret it!"

[Guest]

"I already do." "For now." He repeated "If this doesn't work out I'm not above leaving you behind."

[XT Vengeance]

"Oh I uh...I really don't know what else to say...I'm a sniper. I don't really end up interacting with others all that much. I guess you could say my pony skills aren't that great."

[Tytan]

"And I'm a doctor. My pony skills need to be good or I don't have happy patients, and unhappy patients usually mean I don't get to eat."
