"No. Do you? I'm a traveling doctor and I'm looking for work. My Daddy helped out here a long time ago."

Eve silently stared at the pony for a while. "I'm looking for Serenade."

"How could they not have any terminals in your stable?
How did they keep the place running?"

"We had repair ponies..."

[CamoBadger]

"Hm...can't say I remember him, probably knew my Papa, but then again," the mare quickly weaved the needle through her cut again before continuing. "He knew a lot of ponies...mostly mares..." The mare shook her head and put in another stitch. "But I might have something you can do..." she said with a sly look on her face.


The yellow pony cocked her brow at Eve. "I'm Serenade."

"That is pretty strange, but we should get going. I don't want to waste any daylight." Charcoal trots off in the direction of the town hall.

[Orm]

Searchlight stared at the stable pony dumbstruck.
"How did you recycle the oxygen? water? How did you get any power to run the place?"

"What've you got?"

[Guest]

Shadow glares at the sheriff"What do ya mean, ya won't take'im?"

"I mean, I won't take'em."

"Ya said bring'im back alive. He's alive so pay up."

"Well, the pony changed their mind. So, sorry I can't take'im."

"Changed their mind? They put up goddess damn bounty and changed their mind?"

"Yes, so I can't take'im." He crosses his hooves

"Well, ain't that just fuckin' wonderful. Spend all that time trackin' this guy down and ya won't take'im."

"Yup."

"Asshole."He drops the off the bounty and walks out.

"I said ya couldn't leave'im."

"Ya also said ah'd get paid, but that didn't happen."He continues walk to find Cherry.

[Ketchup]

"The Overmare and a few of the upper maintenance techs controlled that stuff. I was a medical assistant, not a repair pony."

"Your father wanted me to give you this." She put the wad of paper down in front of the mare.

[CamoBadger]

"Well, it isn't exactly medical," the mare pointed out as she dropped the needle to hang from her hurt leg. "But it does involve some caps for you."
She didn't bother to wait on Clock to say if she was still interested.
"You see, there was this really nice buck I met last night, and I kinda brought him back here last night. First off, he was fantastic, second, he stole half of my Med-X," she huffed and continued. "So, wanna get it back for me?"

Serenade looked down at the note for a second before snapping her head up to Eve angrily. "And why would I care what he wants to give me? Take your note and leave!"

Cherry follows Charcoal"So, ya think they got some kind of security system in there?"

[Orm]

"So you're telling me the only ponies in your stable with any access to a computer terminal were the Overmare, and maintenance?
Okay, that makes sense, I guess."

[Tytan]

"Hoo, hate it when that happens. What's his name and where is he?"

[XT Vengeance]

"Of course. But I don't think it will be much more than a few locked doors and a terminal or two. We will need to be stealthy though."

Not expecting such a response, Eve picks up the note and starts walking away, back to the prisoner. "Suit yourself."

[CamoBadger]

"His name's Bar Bell, and no I don't know how he got that name," she grumpily explained. "I'd guess that he hangs around The Salty Lick, that's where I met him last night. Just...try not to hurt him?" she asked with a smile. "Oh, and tell him he's welcome back any night as long as he doesn't steal my stuff anymore."

Serenade huffed and slammed the door as Eve walked away.

"Hmm, Stealthy huh? Maybe Shadow would better ta help ya with this. He's better at that then ah am."


Shadow spots Cherry"Blossom, sheriff didn't pay up. Contractor changed their mind."

"Well, then ah'm sure ya like ta help out, him out*She points at Charcoal*He needs some that can be stealthy."

"Sure, not like ah got anythin' better ta do."He follows Charcoal

"Y'all have fun!"She flies off to find the others.

[Ketchup]

"If terminals are used for generating power and purifying water, then why is one connected to a box in a basement?"

[Orm]

"They're used for automating those things so that ponies don't have to waste their time running them.
It makes everything easier."

[Tytan]

"He won't get hurt if he doesn't try anything. I'll be back right quick." Clock steps out of the clinic and walks over to the Salty Lick. She goes inside and steps up to the bar. She tries to get the bar ponies attention, "'Scuse me. I'm lookin' for Bar Bell. I was told I could find him here."

Eve returned to the prisoner, unsure of what to say, or how the pony would respond upon hearing the news. "Your daughter didn't take the note."

[Ketchup]

"Okay then. I look forward to seeing one, they seem interesting."

[CamoBadger]

The bar tender turned to Clock and looked her up and down for a second. "Bar Bell!" he shouted across the bar, pulling the attention of a rough looking unicorn stallion.

"What?" Bar yelled back.

"This mare is looking for you."

Bar Bell trotted over with a sly smile and leaned against the bar as he looked Clock in the eyes. "Well hello there. How can I help you little lady?" he requested suavely.



The prisoner coughed and looked up at Eve. "She didn't?" he asked panicked. "Can you please try again? I want her to know..." he requested with another cough.

[Tytan]

[Black Widow] Clock cocked an eyebrow and spoke in a sultry tone, "Well hello there big guy. I was wonderin' if you could help me with somethin'."

[CamoBadger]

"Oh really," he replied with a smirk, slowly running a hoof up Clock's foreleg. "And what might that be?"

[CamoBadger]

Shadow, Searchlight, Quiver and Charcoal reach the town hall after a short walk. The building is in shambles, with most of the roof either missing or barely hanging on as it threatens to collapse into the building. The doors are crooked on the hinges, and every window is shattered, but it seems to be devoid of anyone living there.

Shadow looks at the building then back at the group"Looks cozy."He starts to walk to the town hall.
