Clock mutters to herself, "Goddess, how did I miss that?"

"So, you're adopted? And your new dad is a gryphon merc?" She looks at the gryphon, "They aren't usually the family type."

"Well, he didn't want to, at first." Giggle. "Like I would give him any option. I was his slave, he won me."

[Tytan]

"And, what? He... let you go?"

[Katarn]

"Ha. He left me with his grandmother and then send us caps every month...well..until one accident." Coughs in hoof.

[Tytan]

Clock knew she was gonna regret asking, "Accident?"

[Katarn]

"Well...yeah. After that I had to 'move out' from house." Half-whispering. 'It was complete wreck, let me tell you." In normal voice. "And from that day I'm traveling with him, fixing stuff, hacking stuff, blowing up stuff." Metal clanking sound can be heard, when Novae shakes her mane....and grenade falls from it.

[Perception 10] Clock sees the grenade still has its safety pin, so she only has a little heart attack. She reels back a bit, "Fucking Luna! You keep grenades in your mane?"

[Katarn]

Picks up grenade and stuffs it back in her mane. "And where do I keep them? Under my tail?"

[Tytan]

"Well, no. But why not a bag or something?"

[Ironmonger]

Cast Iron forms a stern expression, but after a moment he relaxes. "Sharp pony." he says with an impressed smirk. "It is true zhat I let the weakness overtake me during some of my courses, but the real problem is zhat I'm forgetful." His face turns slightly sad for a moment but quickly turns stern. "But to answer your question, I am an exile. My squad was killed not long back during a routine scouting mission, as punishment and as an example of what happens to failure I was sentenced to execution. I escaped." He sighs. "I have been vandering the wastes ever since, I have nothing better to do and nowhere to go." His face becomes slightly surprised. "Vhere are my manners? I am Hauptmann-er-I mean Captain Cast Iron. Do not ask how I became a captain, I am undeserving of such a title."

[Aonee]

"In your saddlebags, where they won't fall out? Maybe in a custom-made bandoiler specifically for holding grenades?"

[Katarn]

"Hmm..you have a point, I'd carry them in some sort of special bag. IF I HAD ONE." Ahem. "And this way it's much more fun. And nopony expects this from me." Closes eyes and grins.

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"Doctor Painkiller." He replies his accent becoming a little less shaky, "It is a wonder you became a Captain of a squad. Being so young to have the them all slaughtered and the only survivor doesn't look good from the outside. Probably thought you to be a coward. It was a band of Raiders I take it, Nothing is ever routine when those batshit insane ponies are involved."

The fallen grenade lands right in Painkiller's line of sight.

"Has no one heard of weapons safety!?" Painkiller cries out in Eqquish as he backpedals quickly from the group of ponies. First a 'soldier' is playing with his rifle, then a zebra drops a grenade right in the middle of the group.

It's a little more than the Dashite can take. Survival instincts kick in and he makes his way to the opposite side of the fire from the group of crazy people. He'll sleep outside for the night, not like he could feel the cold that much anyway. He skewers some radroach meat and sets it to cooking over the fire keeping as much distance as he can muster from the flames, they scare him.

[Tytan]

"True, but it's not very safe."

[Katarn]

Suddenly expression on Novae's face become more serious. "You're right, it isn't safe. Same as live in this world. This way I conceal one or two grenades, saved mine and not only, life few times, no matter what you think about me, because usually ponies think something like 'that filthy beast, who destroyed Equestria' about me, I'm taking explosives more serious."

[Tytan]

"That's... a very good reason. I'm sorry I criticized."

[Katarn]

Her expression becomes softer and she smiles again. "Oh, don't you worry, after I've inhaled some chemicals I shouldn't inhale I'm taking this more serious."

[Orm]

Searchlight looks up from his book, distracted by the sound of others talking.
He spots the zebra mare, and shakes his head and sighs upon hearing what he could from the mare from where he was.
He goes back to reading his book, occasionally looking up from it.

[Tytan]

"That's... less comforting."

[Katarn]

"May I ask you one thing? Why....are you so nice?"

[Tytan]

"... I... had a revelation a few years ago. I'd rather not talk about it."

[Katarn]

"I mean most ponies won't talk with me, let aside actually listen and not trying to throw something at me."

[Tytan]

"I don't hold a grudge against zebras. All this was a much Equestrias fault as Zebras."

[Katarn]

"There is some higher power in Wasteland! I've meet reasonable pony!" Hugs Clock. "...just to check if you're real..." Releases her from hug.

[Tytan]

'clock is taken by surprise, "Y-you're welcome."

Blackwing walked across the camp to the firepit flanked on either side by another guard with a large jug over one shoulder. He looked around at the group surrounding the fire while taking a long drag on his cigarette.

The griffin sighed and blew out a stream of smoke before flicking the cigarette into the fire and nodding to each of the other guards. On cue, they tilted the jugs and dumped a flow of water into the pit, extinguishing the flame and shrouding the camp in a plume of smoke.

"Alright, everyone get in bed. Now," he ordered loud enough for the entire camp to hear. "I don't care you you shack up with, but you've got 10 minutes to get in one of those tents."

[Scyto Harmony]

"Tents..." He mumbles, looking around. "Flammable, destructible, stabable tents..."

[Tytan]

Clock sighed, she went to her tent.

Viktor is much to big for the tent, he lays down outside the opening for Clocks tent.

Painkiller blinks as a plume of steam gushes across his face. It was a reflex, his eyes really didn't need him to blink at all, except to clear debris from the lenses. His meat was just barely done, the timing was close. He wouldn't need ten minutes to finish it. He munches away, skewered meat in hoof.

Charcoal shakes himself out of his daze. He had been daydreaming about his past again dammit. He shakes his head, and stands up, grabbing his things. Charcoal lets out a low whistle.

Scorch swoops down from the sky and lands on the earth ponies back. "Squawk?"

"We have to go find a tent."
