I can usually visualize the scenery of a story rather well. The characters I have more trouble with. I think the best way to describe it is that it's like everyone is a behind-the-eyes view—like how you know exactly what your body's doing, but have much less of an idea of how you look while doing it, but applied to every character. Whether I see them as human or equine (or whatever else they are) depends on how they're written. Not so much hoof/hand substitutions—I normally don't notice those—but whether the author takes into account that they wouldn't be acting the same. Even something with rather (all right, slightly) bad limb confusion might feel more like it's using ponies than something with perfect vocabulary, but no consideration for different movement.

I'm not really interested. More due to the TV aspect than anything else, though the small point of not coming back would definitely be something to think about. I like my family. Would admittedly be quite amazing, though. And I don't think I'd be as worried about the cyberdemon as I'd be keeping an eye on the water. Well, life support in general, but it's the water that has problems.

I need some opinions real quick, because I may have written myself into a corner on complete accident. Alicorn OC's. Can they be written well, at all? One of the primary antagonists of Armed Redemption is supposed to be the corrupted ruler of Germaneigh, Lord Wrought Iron. I don't know how the readers will react even if I write him well, because there seems to be some general prejudice against Alicorns. My alternative plan is to make him a really powerful Earth Pony/Earth-Unicorn. And if I can't pull that off I'll just cut it altogether. Normally I'd take this sort of thing to my team (which I have) but it would be helpful to have outside advice.

Yes, it can be done, and it's better when they're villains, BUT it's still quite hard. In FOE, you have a better reason for them to exist than most, but you also need to use the canon provided, so be careful on that front. Generally, I think the main issue folks have with the alicorns is when they're main protagonists.

*sigh of relief* On that latter part I hope that is the case, because my primary worry is fan prejudice since it's a factor that I cannot control no matter what I do. Difficult I can handle. Impossible, not so much.

^This. It's very hard to pull of Alicorns, even in the FoE universe, but if they're villains it's easier if you stick with canon. Being a main Protagonist it's harder, but that has succeeded greatly before as well (Starlight)

With Starlight it seems like it was easier because Radiant Star isn't overpowered, she has her flaws, glaring ones at times. No one can say anything besides "Oh okay."

Wrought Iron would be sorta like Pride in Starlight, except he isn't incredibly evil and corrupted by the stars, merely misguided.

You just need to be reasonable with them.
Why are they there? How did they get there? What makes it so they're in charge now, not having been killed on sight?
Give them a good backstory, reason and for the love of Celestia, keep her linked to The Goddess in terms of backstory, if nothing more.

And it really depends what she did. (technically both, or well, how all 3 reacted to it) It's a very different level of just "harassing" someone, and actually taking the step to actually trying to rape them. Not all that are willing to to sexual harassment are willing to take the extra step. But yeah, it could be.
On a side note though, hope you included male hookers too, somehow just headcanon wise picture that gelded ones would be more popular, especially during heat, for those wanting "the original" penetration and not any of the other available services.

Sorry Kim, gonna have to let you down. No, there was no male prostitutes mentioned though that doesn't mean they weren't in the brothel, for arguments sake. However, it's a case of "if you want to believe it, you can."

I never said there couldn't have been males, as this was walking around outside and passing a brothel.


To explain what happened, Crimson & Cherry was walking along. Prostitute calls Crimson over for some fun, Cherry declines the offer. Prostitute talks to Crimson directly, he declines too, even if he has a small temptation on a primal level (read as: ever so slightly turned on, but not enough to change his mind or make him hard.)

The prostitute then uses her magic to begin brushing his genitals, trying to coax it out. When Crimson realises what the hell is happening, he goes to flinch / step back but finds her magic then holding him down as she continues, trying to force him to give in with the goal of either saying he owes caps for the service or get him horny enough to go for the full deal.
At this point, Crimson can't do a thing and when Cherry threatens the prostitute, she in return threatens to damage Crimsons' "goods" if she steps forward.


So, sexual assault at the very least.
