Well, this was better than the last one, but we still lost. Personally, I would have done better had I not gotten fucked over by shell dispersal except for the last shot.

Anyone know what would happen to a researched vehicle when its place is moved in the tech tree? I researched the M40/43 but can't buy it, and the tree is changing. It'll undoubtedly cost more to research.

Re: Royal Equestrian Armored Division
The KV has armour that will block most T4 and T5 guns with considerable reliability, but any Sherman with an M1A1/A2 is capable of penetrating them reliably. I assume similar German guns are also capable, but the T-34 doesn't have a comparable gun, and the poor M7 can't mount any T5 guns. The Crusader's 6-Pounder doesn't work reliably, so I assume other 57mm guns aside from the ZiS-4 are of similar capability.

With the German guns it's a crapshoot. Unless I've got a TD (Stug III or my Hetzer), or get around behind them (and they're usually flanked by several mediums looking for easy xp) there's a good chance a round will bounce.

Re: Royal Equestrian Armored Division
So there were a couple battles while I was at work. We won the first two, but lost the third when I arrived. We laid down chips again for another, and just barely lost.
What agitates me about this one was that we HAD the cap at 100, then someone got hit and it got knocked down to 75.

And in regular game news: surprisingly good matchmaking, extremely shit teammates. And guess who keeps ending up in the top 5 at the end of the match?
Almost makes me want to cry. Seriously. I almost just want to put my face in my palms and weep right now.

I keep seeing the SU-100Y consistently dominating these things. You can find countless "Boxtank Rampage" videos on youtube.
The mere notion that TD is balanced is lunacy of the highest degree. It's got a damn near tier 10 gun for crying out loud and can one shot any Tier 4 tank, all Tier 5 bar heavies and a surprising number of Tier 6 tanks too. And it's fairly accurate and mobile too.
That thing should be at minimum a tier 7.

...and yet they'll never change it because most of the playerbase is so incredibly bad that they are utterly unable to use it.

Re: Royal Equestrian Armored Division
MM was decent today, but I wish I'd gotten more games in. I have my turret and gun now, though. Now I just need to grind xp towards the Indien Panzer.
Nothing exciting in Clan Wars to report. We lost. Again. Tier 4 starts tomorrow. I will be using my beloved Panzer III.
Also, I have a vid I plan to upload hopefully sometime tomorrow. It will be lulzy.

The Panzer III, at least so far, has been the most exciting and fun tank I've come across. It's nice being a medium that can outpace almost anything. And the fact it's tough as balls; Panzer III's sometimes just refuse to die in to any reasonable manner.

People say the Pz 3 is great, but I find that the Covenanter was superior in most confrontations as long as it didn't have a howitzer.

Re: Royal Equestrian Armored Division
Just ragequit again.
Eight losses in a row at low tiers due to completely retarded teamates, then play one game in the Centurion, have a tier seven derp russian TD push me out of cover and screw up my aim forcing me to leave the spot the Centurion is good in and duel heavies in a sandbox, the RNG sends my shells all over the place, the icing on the cake being when there are a handful of pixels not over a Lowe's turret at point blank range and the shell whistles off overhead. I worked really, really hard to exploit the heavy tanks but had random sodding luck ruin what would have otherwise been a good game, despite my moron teamate's best attempts to force the contrary.
Seriously?
Combined with client stability akin to a house of cards over the last couple of days I'm done.

Re: Royal Equestrian Armored Division
Hahaha wow. Very short replay for you here, playing as my Matilda. (RAKING in credits with that +80% credit gain on an already great tank)
Nothing much to speak of (You'll see my viewpoint jumping around tanks at the start, was showing a friend the different designs) until near the end. There is one moment that was a real "OH S**T!" moment to remember.
You'll know it when you see it. I spot it coming and move accordingly just before it happens but that didn't prepare me for the epic yet terrifying sight. Be sure to be viewing in my viewport.

Re: Royal Equestrian Armored Division
I am adoring this special. 80% additional credits in a Matilda has let me rake it in. Almost 1 million credits earned in a day.
Of course, aweosme luck that has resulted in now 6 additional Top Guns helps a lot. God I love this tank and it's not even fully upgraded yet. (Brothers in Arms coming very soon and still a third slot to use, waiting to see how good the new spall liners are)
As a note...this suddenly appeared:
"- Chieftain prototype will be 2nd British T10 medium, or a heavy, or replace the FV4202? “When it comes, we’ll talk about that.”"
"When it comes"
"When"
YES
I am a little miffed they are only taking the prototype instead of the perfectly viable proper production model, but I presume it's simply because the actual Chieftain would be so powerful it would instantly invalidate anything else in the entire game. Getting the prototype at least is something and wouldn't besmirch the great name of the Chief.
Also the following,
- Charioteer (20pdr Cromwell) in WoT? “No comment on future branches”
Usual comment, the Charioteer will almost assuredly appear at some point.
- less played branches won’t get buffed apparently (SS: not sure with translation here, it can be interpreted in several ways)
- SerB doesn’t think British tanks are too unpopular
They are popular because British tanks are awesome parts of history, that doesn't mean they are balanced, Serb.
- it is confirmed that 8.8 will bring SOME vehicles and it was confirmed they won’t be American regular vehicles.
The long awaited French update? I hope so, those poor guys haven't had anything in forever.
- Today I heard an interesting theory on RU forums (allegedly from come community contributor folks there) as to what it might be: British line, ending with Chieftain prototypes, also having allegedly some light tanks… with 20pdrs. Odd, but I really hope it’s true :)
I can't think of any British light tanks with 20pdr guns. The closest you get is the FV301 with a 77mm gun from the Comet. So maybe an upgraded one of them for an unhistorical gun?
- Firefly will be implemented after other tanks, that were promised earlier
Sigh.

Re: Royal Equestrian Armored Division
So the Royal Equestrian Armoured Division did well in the Clan Wars today, managed to get all the way to the final for the right to invade the Republic of Ireland. (All games Tier 5 only)
My in my Churchill 1, I was more a passive role protecting the arty against sudden rushes so I didn't see much action, but our Chaffee and T-50-2 swarms infuriated, spotted and picked away at enemies all day to bring great victory that then led to myself and the heavier tanks advancing near the end to mop up. All the while, our lucky Hummel kept pounding them into the ground or our AMX-13 Arty who scored a game winning shot in the semi final when he was on his own against a KV-1 at the end of the game with less than a minute to go.
Making it to the final, we were proud but unfortunately met our match. The other team not only was astoundingly good with their scouts but they also rolled out an incredibly rare tank that shocked and awed us, never having expected it. A KV-220!
With their arty nuking us at every turn, they unleashed a frenzied swarm of Chaffees that rolled over our position.
That said, I think we're all really happy with the result. Reaching the finals alone feels satisfying. Would certainly do it again!
