Dad's side? Closest thing we get is holiday meals when my dad, aunt and uncle with his mom, my grandmom, my cousin, and my sisters.

That and funerals of elder family members. And that usually brings the members of the family we don't talk to or talk about all that much.))

Lot more fun then the family reunion I go to. Course mine usually ends up being eating good food and then attempting to make small talk to family members who say the same thing every year.

Same thing every year.))

((Both sides of my family are pretty close. On my dad's side most of them are still in his hometown, so every time we go up there I get to see most of them. And on my mothers side, they're all close and such. And it's only slightly awkward when most of my cousins are already parents...))

Mom's side is all over the U.S.

Think that counts as ironic in a sense. My dad's side lives relatively close but we don't gather together, and my mom's everywhere but takes the time to meet up.))
