- Dark Star:
- One Year Later
Dark Star is now a teacher at the New Hope school. Her students love asking her about her life on the moon, and she loves teaching about science and magic.
She gave birth to two healthy foals.
Maverick
And
Day Star
During the course of the birthing only minor fire damage was caused to the clinic. There were no permanent injuries.
Maverick is an adventurous little colt who has a talent for getting himself into trouble that was named for Rogues grandfather whom raised her.
Day Star is a quiet filly who enjoys reading that was named for Dark Stars mother.
A Few Years Later
Pods similar to Dark Stars landed in New Hope carrying Lunar Guard. After they attacked Dark she and Rogue killed most of them. They attempted to question the last, but they couldn’t get any answers before he snapped his own neck.
Dark, Rogue, and a few volunteers traveled back to Japony to find Princess Kazuki. Using Kazukis musical magic the group traveled to the moon.
When they arrived they found the sprawling subterranean Luna City to be under the control of Darks uncle, Nebula.
Nebula had gained the ability to directly influence the thoughts and actions of every moon pony.
Much to Darks loathing the group had to fight their way into the depths of the city to the council chambers. At some point they become separated and Dark has to make her own way there.
When she arrives she finds Nebula with the rest of the council, all of whom had long since been turned back to the stone they were born from. Nebula had forcibly extracted what was left of their souls to increase his own magical abilities.
Nebula had spent the last few centuries attempting to revive the spirit of Nightmare Moon. He did so by allowing the small piece of the legendary mares’ soul within each moon pony to grow like a cancer. The experiments that he’d run using Dark Star were his attempts to learn a technique to extract the fragments.
Nebula knew all along the cause of the Elders gradual petrification. The real reason Dark was sent to Equestria was to die. He’d sabotaged her pod so that the air brakes would give out. Unfortunately for him she survived. Darks personal fragment was supposed to die with her. The curious condition of Darks soul made her uncontrollable.
Wracked with grief from her mother’s death and rage at her uncle’s involvement Dark Star attacked. After a pitched battle Nebula lay burned, bleeding, and defeated. He attempted to summon a wing of guards, but before he could Dark Star incinerated him into ash.
With Nebula dead the moon ponies were in control of themselves again. After a lot of awkwardness involving accusations of assassination and explaining the circumstances, Dark agreed that the group would return to Equestria.
They did so by using some of the extra pods Nebula had commissioned.
Before they leave Dark heads back to grab a few items. A few keepsakes and mementos, a few suits for Red and Saks, and her mother’s necklace.
Dark Star and Rogue returned to their lives. Dark continued teaching and Rogue eventually became a captain of the guard. Darks hopes were dashed when she noticed that as the decades went by Rogue aged as a normal pony while she stayed the same.
Rogue eventually passed away in her sleep. Her entire family was there; Dark, their children, and their children’s children.
Dark cursed her long life.
More than once she contemplated suicide.
Until one night while she clutched Rogues necklace in the bed they’d shared she saw her standing there at the end of the bed. She’d long since stopped seeing the Followers alicorns, but she figured she’d relapsed back into insanity. She didn’t recall ever seeing things that weren’t there before.
She had been emotionally numb since Rogue had passed. She decided to indulge her psychosis and spoke to her. It took some convincing, but Rogue managed to convince her that she’d returned just like her grandfather had.
Dark cried.
Tears of joy streamed down her face.
She wouldn’t have to endure the rest of her life alone.
Years passed.
Then decades.
Then centuries.
On her death bed Dark Star extracted her own soul just like she had all those years ago to innocent ponies.
With her dying breath she placed it in Rogues necklace…
- Major:
- Major decided to settle in New Hope. He packed up his home in Dodge Junction and using his earnings from the Japony adventure to purchase a house in New Hope.
He got a job for Mr. Blues scavenging pre-war tech, raw materials, and other odds and ends. He would also occasionally assist in the shop.
One day he receives an unmarked package with a note. Inside was a stone. Once he touched it his mind flooded with knowledge of a new spell. When he used it he was able to change his and others genders at will.
He spent most of his time in his female form, but he often switched between the two.
He used his newfound ability to help those who didn’t feel right with their bodies. For a reasonable price of course.
He made decent money and eventually met a nice mare, a pegasus named Ice Wind. She didn’t mind his habit of switching genders, and actually enjoyed it a little.
They settled down together, had a few foals, and he’d tell them the stories that his father told him.

- Rogue:
- Year passed slowly and, relatively boring. After Rogue re-joined guard force of New Hope, it just become routine work with occasional missions, though after Dark Star gave birth their two kids, Rogue dropped doing missions...for a while.
To her amazement, her son Maverick, not only bear name of her grandfather, but sometimes even acted like him. At least for what she know about her grandfather, from his stories.
Speaking of Maverick Senior. He showed up from time to time and Rogue suspected, that kids could see him.
In her free from duty or kids time, Rogue practiced with her lightning power, trying to get more control over it. Eventually she managed to learn few new tricks with it.
Some years later pods, same as Dark’s, landed near New Hope and few Lunar guards tried to kill Dark Star.. They meet furious resistance from both Dark Star and Rogue. After that Rogue and Star decided, that it’s time to settle things down with Star’s uncle, Nebula.
Gathered few volunteers from New Hope, they traveled to Japony, to ask Kazuki help them get to the Moon.
Upon arrival they’ve find out, that Nebula somehow was mind controlling whole city and Elders were turned back into stone. Despite not long arguing, it was decided, that they should fight their way through Lunar City towards Council Chambers, where Nebula was. At some point Rogue and rest of the group were separated from Dark Star and were forced to find different route to Chambers. Rogue knew, that moon ponies had no other choice, but to fight and, when possible, she tried only to disable them, rather than kill. Despite that, many moon ponies find out what is lead, to many of them, it was last thing they find out. They finally reached Chambers, only to find Dark Star sitting before pile of ashes, still with fury and tears in her eyes.
Few minutes later moon ponies entered chamber, free of mind control. But instead of thanking Dark Star for freeing them, they accused her in killing Council. Despite all explanations, they didn't truly believed them..and amount killed on their way to Chambers didn’t help too, so Rogue, Dark Star and rest of the group just leave the Moon.
They didn’t talk about what happened there with anyone.
Rogue continue serving as guard, until her retirement. She passed out at age of 70 surrounded by mare she loved, their kids and grandchildren. Rogue was buried, as she asked, next to her grandfather and her necklace was left for Dark Star.
