He takes a deep breath as he tries to remember. After a while he just frowns.
"I... can't remember. The Empress grabbed you and... then there was that... dragon thing, killed her and saved you and Goldy was just... gone."

*is silent for a minute, sniffles*...I hope he...went out...a hero...

Moodstone just nods and strokes her hoof.

*sniffles, then smiles a little*...That feels nice...

He gives her a small smile again and continues to softly stroke her hoof. After a while he finally speaks up.

"Alex.. I-I know we've been through a lot, and I really like you.." he takes a breath, " if.. if it's okay with you, do you.... want to go out? Once you're ready to of course."

((Ya know something Scyto... that was one reason I've been kinda dragging this scene out, I DIDN'T want it to sound like that.

Obviously I failed cause there's no other way it could have gone.

But at this point in time I don't care if Moodstone and Alex get together. Well at least not right now, I'm just trying to put an end to this plot point.))

*sniffles, slowly wipes her eyes with her free hoof, then takes a deep breath*...I'll...need some time...and to...heal up first...

He gives her a nod.
"Of course. I need some time myself... I..we, all need some time..."
He strokes her hoof a few more times before turning to leave.
"I'll let you get some rest now. I still need to see my parents and all."

*reaches out with hoof*...Please...can you stay...just a few more...minutes?

He stops and turns back.
"Yes, I can."
He takes her hoof again.

*smiles* Thank you...I just...don't want to be...alone right now...

He gives her a smile back.
"Then I'll stay right here for as long as you need me."

Thank you...*after several minutes, slowly falls asleep as Moodstone strokes her hoof*

Moodstone continues to stroke her hoof long after Alex has fallen asleep. After a while he stops but stays in the room for a few more minutes. As soon as he was sure she wasn't going to wake up, he slowly and quietly makes his way out.

((So it's agreed that Moodstone and Alex are on track to being a couple as soon as she's healed up and they work through any and all kinks including self doubt and guilt?
