"I guess...to be honest, it is a little hard to feel like I'm a pony sometimes," he says softly to her, his voice holding the smallest hint of sadness.

Clock hugs him around the midsection, squeezing his chest and stomach, "You feel like a pony to me."

Charcoal hugs her back, kissing her forehead just below the horn. "I'm glad you think so. It's just hard to think that sometimes."

"Well I know a few sure-fire ways to prove yer a pony. But I think we can rule most of'em out. You'll just have to settle for hugs and love."

Charcoal looks down at the mare, and kisses her. "Thank you.." he whispers, pulling away after a moment.

"No problem..." Clock sits on her haunches next to Charcoal and looks out at the horizon.

"We can go inside if you'd like. It's getting a little late," he says after a while.

"I guess you wouldn't be as used to sitting in one place for a long time like me, nor on a hard surface," he says, standing up.

"I try to, but I can't count the number of times I have sat still for hours waiting for the perfect shot. Not that it bothers me, though." Charcoal leads the mare back into the common room, taking a seat on a dilapidated old couch.

"Hm... Makes sense. I'm usually on my hooves because I'm traveling so much. Only really sit down to rest and sleep."

"Heh. Sleep. I sure as hell don't get much of that. Not unless me and Scorch are back in the Crow's Nest."

"The what?"

"The Crow's Nest. It's what Scorch and I have taken to calling the tower we live in. Over the years we managed to lock the place down really well with plenty of traps and signs to warn off intruders. The area around it used to be pretty thick with raiders. Not anymore though," he adds proudly.

[Tytan]

Clock chuckles, "I never pegged you for the home-owner type."

"I guess you could call it that. It isn't much really. I got a few things working, like a reservoir I managed to weld together on the roof for fresh water. Mostly it has great sight-lines though."
