"I mean no one did... It's just... fuck. We must be blind."

"Well..."Scratches behind her ear. "I might been sitting in your basement (you have some cool stuff there by the way) and...doing things."

[Tytan]

"We have a basement?"

[Katarn]

"Sure you have...or that wasn't actually a basement, but some sub-dimension, which looked like basement, but that's scientifically..well..possible, but it has very low chances of been real. Unless magic, ofcource, many strange things can be explained or rather not explained at all by magic, which is why I don't really like it, unless I can explain it. And not to mention that..." She goes on for few minutes like that.

[Tytan]

"Okay.... What have you been doing in the sub-dimension that may or may not be our basement?"

[Katarn]

Wide grin appears on her face. "This!" She pulls few grenades from her backpack and start juggling with them. "Dynamite is awesome too, but this is much better. Have larger area of effect, easier to toss."

[Tytan]

"Wow. Juggling grenades? That's pretty impressive."

[Katarn]

Catches them all and puts them back in backpack. "Nah. That's just agility and practice. There were few my works, that others call 'impressive', but that's was just..meh...I could've done better."

[Tytan]

"More impressive than juggling grenades? Juggling lit dynamite?"

[Katarn]

Looks at Clock. "Short fuse dynamite goes off in 3 seconds, normal in 5-7, long fuse in 9-14. Depends on explosives, used to made it, blast radius is from 20 to 60 meters or 65 to 196 feet. To say it short, I'm not suicidal to juggling with live explosives." Rubs her chin. "Though I can juggle with fire bombs...even ignited..though if I wouldn't be careful it will burn my mane." Brushes her mane a little. "Or my whole body."

[Tytan]

"You've got it down to a science haven't you? You might also be a little insane... I think we'll get along just fine."

[Katarn]

"Sanity is overrated." Smiles with a wink. "You have to be a little..not sane to work with explosives."

[Tytan]

"Sounds about right to me. Although I don't really work with explosives, just their victims."

[Katarn]

"Oh..well...not like I love putting live explosives in some one's bags...or just, you know, killing folks. Only if needed."

[Tytan]

"Yeah, cuz liking killing people isn't a little crazy, it's a lot crazy... How is the griffin yer dad?"

[Katarn]

"You want long version or short one?"

[Tytan]

"Whichever you prefer."

"Well, to make it clear, he's not my real dad...I don't even know how zebra-griffin baby would look like. To put it short, he saved me from slavery...actually he won me in cards, but I like to think about it as he saved me. Sure he's been treating me as anyone would treat filly zebra slave...well..maybe little softer, than anyone. few years like that and he got attached to me. Even allowed me to call him dad, not in public though. Even if he were always somewhere away, doing his work, he came by, leaving some caps to his grandmother (I've lived with her), spend some time with me and then left again. It's only recently I've started travelling with him. He still complains about it and wants me to return and keep studying. But, I prefer this." Novae looks through window at Wasteland. "To sitting at one place."

"You were a slave? You weren't... mistreated were you?"

[Katarn]

"Mistre--oh. No. I was just a little filly..saw some older mares 'mistreated', but slaver who owned me keep me away from that. Something about 'not allowing wrecking his stock'. And even back then I know things or two about repairing stuff and working with computers. I think it was in my blood."

"That's good... and then Jay won you in a card game?"

[Katarn]

"Yup. He actually was just merc, hired to protect slaver. And..he lost to him almost all his money, so he bet me against that money. And Jay won. Point is. Slaver didn't want to part ways neither with his money nor with me. I don't know if I should be proud of it, but for my knowledge I've costed many caps..at least I've heard so." Shook her head. "Anyway. Things got violent, so...he grabbed me and took off. Tell you what. That was first time I was flying..nearly fainted back then."
