*notices no topics* ...So I'm considering ponifying a country for my story...possibly Poland since it's not as common as Vikings. Not exactly FoE-ish but the plot deals more with the rebirth of civilization than the desolate wasteland.

Well, I don't have any good examples, but I've used Trixie as a character in my first story, and she kind of becomes a hero of Equestria in the end, which allows her to succeed in her buisness. It isn't well-detailed and more of a passing mention than an element of substance within the story. Nothing in that story had substance.

It's very much not a good reason to read the story, however; there are far too many things wrong with it, to consider just that reason enough.

Yo guys, can you point me toward a good story with Trixie in it? Non-FoE related? Preferably happy and funny?

Just finished re-reading two of my favorite fanfictions, The Moonstone Cup and The Worst Bakers in Equestria and I'd really like another that has Trixie starting off as disliked and ending up in a much better place.

I really rather like stories like that.

Note that she doesn't have to be a main character, or even a main part of the plot... she certainly isn't in the two examples I gave.

Hmm, there was "A New Breed" which had Trixie in it IIRC, and I think she ends up in a better place. That or dead. >_< I don't actually remember. Anyway, it's pretty good as I recall it; didn't like some of the choices the author made later on, and it got a bit action-heavy (it's sort of Marvel/Avengers stuff except it's ponies), but plenty of the quieter moments were very enjoyable to read. What else... the second season or whatever of the Vinyl Scratch Tapes has Trixie, and that's pretty popular. There are plenty of shippy stories with Trixie in 'em that go the way you describe, but they're shippy and stuff.

I've seen Gilda, Trixie, Chrysalis and even Discord be redeemed or looked at as heroes. One character I've not seen treated as such is BlueBlood. I have my own theory, however.

He's not actually a jackass as we saw in Best Night Ever. He is actually a bro dude who spends his spare time polishing up his swordsmanship, chilling with the Royal Guards, and assisting his aunts in governmental duties. However, he's sick of being treated as part of some podunk town mare's vapid fantasy, and as such enjoys screwing with whatever mare that Celestia sets him up with

Hehe...Frost and I act like jackasses when we hang out. Get's even more absurd when we hang out with the group, then it's like a whole migrating herd of loud goofballs spouting insane language.
I think we accidentally offended a priest last time.

Usually we just act like jackasses to eachother but we know we're just messing around not actually being offensive. Sometimes we are jackasses to people on accident but we (or at least I) apologize and let them know we are just messing with them.

Frost and I are reserved people on our own, but being with our friends is opening the box of crazy. Most of that crazy coming from me.

...I think I'm having trouble telling the difference between these options.

I mean he's a cool dude, but every mare that comes along doesn't want to get to know him or have any interest in him as a person, he's just a part of their bullshit fairy tale fantasy. (Note how Rarity, in her imagination, describes him as "my Prince Charming" and "my prince", not "that great guy" or even "that rich, good-looking guy", implying she and possibly other mares that come along think of him more as an object than a person) and his form of retaliation is being a jackass to them
