Grab a solid state drive for your OS and frequently used programs, they access much faster since they don't have moving components.
Your power supply is also in excess of what you need by almost double, so a lower wattage and cheaper one would probably suffice.

128 gigs is probably enough, but you can get a 200 or 256 for a bit more.

How does this black Friday/cyber Monday thing work for online purchases anyway?

Black Friday/Cyber Monday these days work like this.

Every store worth it's salt has "Door Busters" which are limited quantity massively disconnected products from midnight +1 after Thanksgiving. Most of the time these items are sold just a few cents above a loss in order to motivate you to get into stores. Once they are sold out the deal ends no rain checks no nothing.
As well there are general sales they run every week but the type face is much bigger and brighter than normal.
Add into that website sales which are just boring every day sales jazzed up by being an extra 5%-10% cheaper with again the bigger and snazzer font type.
Generally speaking Black Friday is a good time to snag stuff really cheap if your willing to wait in line in November. I saw a dozen people in line yesterday for the sale tomorrow.


And there are places that do massive sales, pretty much to know what's what... you need to compare what prices were like for the boring everyday Summer sales and see if it is a 5% markdown or a 50% markdown over the last sale price.
