Sorry, but I have no suggestions for a new laptop, Robo. I'd stick with a desktop for ease of upgrading and such, but you are asking for a laptop so I'd assume you want to lug it around.

I have a suggestion for those who are interested in the Steam Sale:
Orcs Must Die! complete pack is 17.50 for two excellent games with significant replay value. Good blending of action and/or strategy depending on how you want to play.
I just snagged Company of Heroes, it looks good for such a low price. I hope I'm right.

I already have a desktop. I need to replace my laptop because it is OLD, doesn't function properly anymore, and though I have the know-how, I am FAR too lazy to try and fix it up to get it to run decently. I need a fresh start.

Needs somehow to balance it. Beside the fact that I lag horribly so therefore can't aim, you can end up in some ridiculous situations. I just started out in the middle of a battlefield where my faction only had one sector left. And hordes of high-leveled players everywhere were slaughtering my team, which apparently was mostly all rookies.
Couldn't

anyone.
So instead I went infiltrator, and capped parts of the base, and got a ragtag bunch of rookies into a squad that managed to start capturing a lot more stuff, including an airport. Then I left because I needed at least one hour of sleep.

Just had another epic sesh of Planetside 2 with Katarn... though I'm sure he didn't get into it quite as much as me.

I personally like the chaos and not really having any clear thing to do - just kill things on a grand scale and doesn't matter if you die.
Managed to set off an objective and get it to blow while also managing to save a few objectives.
Did pretty good, despite dying a lot like usual.


I do enjoy Planetside 2.

Gave that a shot. Just kind of dicked around for a while and got shot a bit. Confusing. Also had trouble finding where things were at first.

Is there a particular place you'd recommend for the PHCC to try?

I was thinking of doing just that if anyone got into it.
The best map to learn would probably be the winter one, though that's my personal preference and not really a solid statement of why.

Really, you just gotta mess around on it to learn most of the things.

Sorting out the aiming would be damn nice. I just really can't be fucked with doing all that settings bullshit is all.

Also, you may want to avoid teamspeak. I tend to fart while on mic from time to time, forgetting my mic is powerful enough to pick it up despite being quite a far distance away.

I may have a suggestion but it depends what your price range is and if you want it to have discrete or integrated graphics.
