@String: (art) ... while I am quite perverted and got a Twisted mind, I do not think that would be a good idea... I'd be all for seeing that, but yeah... quite sure people would disapprove xD
@Kipper:
And right, right. Will cut it here since you ask. (and spoiler the prior)
But I can leave you with this: You basically aimed to write cupcakes in a sense, you just wanted something shocking and didn't care how you got it, just stacking "shock value" content.
If it's any condolence, I look this deep into EVERYTHING. Do know Somber thought their first draft was kinda crappy too, that's why she did a revision. Just saying, you could spiff up your story too. Heck, it's what I did with some of my more embarrassing errors. And yet I got a inferiority complex... okay, I went from thinking they sucked to "hopefully near decent or bellow average.
Anyhow, sorry if I made you upset, I'm just very easily "set off" and edgy around the whole ordeal due to personal experiences as said. Especially when they're one sided, like in PH.
Again, sorry for throwing a fit over it. It's just my worthless way of trying to "help" in a degree. Trying to point out what to avoid and what to keep in mind. Overall, my current mood is very much due to said "person" that threw their tirade over how nothing I liked or fought for mattered, and that no-one gave a fuck about it. It hurts to know it's true. (intelligent people don't count, they're the minority as said) along a whole other load of things. Along with what I generally put up with on a basis. Most of which I technically wouldn't have to do if I just "assimilated" or gave up. I had a new fic idea I was really, actually psyched about writing, then after said night, I just felt hollow and couldn't write for 3 days. So I think some of it was just frustration being transferred, the common "bully pyramid" or what it now is called. Really sorry for letting it go out on you Kipper... *scuffs at the ground* Least I got some mental control of myself, didn't always have that... (For example, if it wasn't for the fact treatment was available close by, I could have killed 1-3 persons. (one of which would have been from artery puncture... by teeth...) There's a reason I tend to think I am too "broken" to be fixed. Heck, some of my fics are a bit "self insert/fantasy" to them, just so sick of being the target...)

Starcraft II is hella fun but the forced ettiqute is pretty weird. It's very chess-like in you pretty much have to do certain moves and stuff that everyone knows from years of analysis and certain actions are predictable. You absolutely have to know keyboard shortcuts in order to do pretty much anything which is what got me at first because I came from Command and Conquer style which all you had to know was how to group units. I was weirded out at first as to why everything in Starcraft was right-click instead of left but it is most certainly not a mouse only game

Yeah, the competitive multiplayer isn't for me. I grew up with Starcraft, and I'd always just build lots of a few units while tanking up my base to win. MP isn't like that, not at all. Don't expand or micromanage correctly, you're done for.

Ever since I got the new iPhone I can not play anymore since the Blizzard authenticator thing ties itself to your phone's id or whatever. I need to call them up during business hours to reset the damn thing so I can't even play signal player if I wanted to. :(

Re: [Official!] Project Horizons Comment Crew Chat thread.
you just have to download the authenticator app and register it to you blizzard account dont you also, unless you turned in your old iPhone the authenticator uses an algorithm to determine the code, that algorithm works regardless of phone connectivity or not, as long as the phone has the proper date and time...

All I know is I somehow had to know that I had to unregister the authenticator from my old phone before I got a new one. Some stupid bullshit.
I can see why I guess but who honestly is stealing people's phones to play games.

Re: [Official!] Project Horizons Comment Crew Chat thread.
I am confused to your situation, but if your phone was stolen can understand then
from the blizzard faq:
Do I need to have an active cell phone signal or access to a wireless network in order to use the Battle.net Mobile Authenticator? Why is airtime required for use?
Airtime is only required to enable your Battle.net Mobile Authenticator for the first time, or in the rare case when you may need to re-sync or reset the authenticator. Once you have enabled the authenticator, you do not need to be in range of an active cell phone signal or have access to wireless service in order to retrieve a code to log in.
^this was only to prove what i was talking about had absolutely nothing to do with your above statment, and since your authenticator is still basically tied to your account you're stuck then?>

What happens if I lose my mobile phone after activating the Battle.net Mobile Authenticator?
Once you receive your new phone, it is possible to restore your original authenticator installation using the new Restore feature. For information on how to use this feature, visit the Battle.net Mobile Authenticator Troubleshooting Guide. If you are unable to use the restore feature, please contact us.

Re: [Official!] Project Horizons Comment Crew Chat thread.
Basically there's no way to reset your "code" without calling blizzard, which is dumb. There's no means to answer a few questions and reset it online, because you can't even login to battle.net without authenticating and if your authenticator code doesn't work because it's now different since it's now on a different phone, it won't work.
Edit: Yeah, whatever is in that guide doesn't work since it wants you to deactivate the authenticator program from the old phone and if your old phone is gone, you can't do it at all.

you did not use the wait SMS okay how confusing, this is probably why the keyring is better
I have not activated my authenticator for this reason
I have one, but it is not tied to an account
did you install the Authenticator on your new phone?

I'm actually heading to a Changeling game in about an hour. @Swicked
Yes I have the game. Essentially it's farmville with minigames. Tried my hand at collecting gems, but then my baby brother got his hands on it and spent every last single resource of mine.

Re: [Official!] Project Horizons Comment Crew Chat thread.
I've played them all at one times or another but the only ones I've played in the last decade are D&D, 2.0, 3.5 and 4.0. I've got a ready made sheet of 4.0 characters of all classes and races sitting around. I had the same for 3.5 but lost that note-pad somewhere. I've also played Vampire briefly. Before 2002 however I played them all at one time or another but most only for a single game. D&D and later Pathfinder was my drugs of choice.Mister Frost wrote:Anyone here a fan of Tabletop RPG's? Re: [Official!] Project Horizons Comment Crew Chat thread.
I try to get together for DnD 4th edition(without minis, of course) with my group every weekend, but this coming weekend has the DM working.
Besides that, I occasionally play MTG with the same people.
We've played D20 Modern and one of the Star Wars ones before as well, though my cousin no longer plays so we don't have the books available anymore.
We never reached any conclusions(We rarely leveled up more than twice each time we started a new campaign) because our group was quite large and had responsibilities.

Well, at least bits are easy to get. How do you collect gems, anyway? I mostly just get a couple every few levels up. I assumed they were a resource you just had to pay the developer for.
4 Resources:
<ul>
<li>Bits, easy to get. Make ponies get a job.</li>
<li>Heart Gems, social interaction required. Get people on friends list, and some will be nice enough to send you one daily. </li>
<li>Gemstones, painful to get normally. Random chance to get one by finding Derpy under box, every fourth day you get one, every fifth day you get two. Sometimes get some when leveling up. Otherwise, cough up about $80 for Celestia, take forever playing, or cheat for just the gems/heart gems. </li>
<li>Harmony Stones you get dependent on the stores you purchase. Twilight's is the hardest to get, so good luck if you have the misfortune, like me, to be infested by parasprites of that nature.</li>
</ul>

Re: [Official!] Project Horizons Comment Crew Chat thread.
Kind of depends on what you're trying to go for. I wanted to play an owl inspired by the myths of bad luck/death (not completely sure why), and started out with the Beast seeming but switched over to Darkling (Lurkglider, from Winter Masques) when I decided that I wanted the mental conflict to be between my character and mortals rather than between animal and human parts of his brain. If you want someone more toward the violent end of things, think about an Ogre or a Beast; if you want someone with a more foreign mind, try Elemental or Fairest, but always remember that you don't have to fit with stereotypes. Basically, there's not one best seeming—get an image of how you want to play and who you want your character to be, and choose a seeming based on that.Mister Frost wrote:WovenTales wrote:I'm actually heading to a Changeling game in about an hour. EDIT: Of course, if you're looking more at mechanics, that won't help you. And I can't offer too much advice, either—the majority of our game is role-play and I don't think I've used my Seeming's Blessing once yet (though I have used that of my Kith). I will recommend that you don't overlook strength. If you do ever get into a fight, you'll find it amazingly annoying if you are only ever throwing three d10s after penalties.

I didn't realise you had personal issues with that kind've stuff for any reason past simply always looking into that stuff in a very deep way.
I'm sorry.
As for your apologies, I accept and forgive you. Thank you.

...So we were thinking that for Armed Redemption, the Crystal Empire and Prancinnati had a trade agreement and a joint program for development of solid-light tech going. I actually have a whole thing planned out since the first two episodes reminded me of LOTR and Zelda.
