I don't think his teleport is the same as Lacunae's teleport.
Lacunae imagines a point, envisions it, and uses magic to go to it.
Styg travels within the shadows within an instant.
he doesn't teleport as such as he just moves "as fast as light" through the darkness.

Styg moved through a solid window to enter the processing building. He doesn't have the range of Lacunae, and I think he needs to see his destination, but it's still a form of teleportation, not a 'flash step' type of power.
Anyway, he doesn't have to fly into a shadow to do it or anything. He just poofs out in a cloud of darkness and reappears in another one.

Ah true. I read it while tired as all hell and still haven't recovered properly, so may need to read it again to notice things like that.

Alright. Finally got finished reading the latest chapter. Definitely good as always. I'm glad Stygius is still okay. Him being sort of paired-up with Psychoshy was a bit unexpected, though.

Rampage, Psycho & Lacunae coming in to save the day was unexpected, but was awesome in the way it was executed.

Blackjack got chewed out for her "actions" with Stygius, like I expected. But I feel it's definitely far from over. Also, I nearly facepalmed myself so hard as to make my skull cave in at the part where she broadcast Stygius "being a champion in bed" as a message to Glory. (Also, I knew it! Dealer was spying on BJ and Styggie while they were having sex! Lol.)

I miss Boo...

Hightower is gonna be one hell of a trip when they get there.

Meatlocker's an interesting place.

Vevlet and Snowflake tailoring stuff for Blackjack and Lacunae was hilarious. Especially the part where Velvet made Lacunae try on the lingerie.

Mortuary Ahuizotl pony is creepy.

Nice find with the dragonhide flight jacket. I wonder how much use that's gonna be for her.

Club scene was probably my favorite bit. More on that later.

Mopey Rampage is mopey. Also, I don't trust BJ's new "tour guide".

As for the usual music bit, wonderful choices, Somber. Seems like you and I were already on the same wavelength with the Jazz, Bebop & Big Band.

also that pink thingy that talisman would have rested in [Shujaa]'s heart too... and we saw her remains...

I'm not exactly knocking golf, but stupid is as stupid does.

Yeah, I have some theories based on that. Shujaa clearly had the Eternity talisman significantly before the Last Day, and she was herself, not some mix of Shujaa and all the other souls inside. Then, during their scouting mission near Brimstone's Fall (Shujaa's last memory) something bad happened -- it sounds like Twist was fatally shot.
My theory is that, somehow, Shujaa was able to shut off the talisman's regeneration function and implant it into Twist, using the helaing talisman's basic function to save her life without giving her full Eternity regeneration. We have photos of Twist in the hospital looking dour, which is probably right after that -- healed just enough to get back to friendly territory or survive until rescue arrived. Shujaa's body was recovered, undamaged but dead. Possibly that's because the body was technically alive but soulless after the transfer, so when Twist woke up she fed Shujaa a bunch of healing potions that fixed the damage, but she wouldn't wake up because there was nopony home. The body eventually died and was sent to Yellow River to figure out how the immortal Proditor could die, on the assumption that something went wrong with the talisman, but they couldn't find it -- because, unbeknownst even to herself, Twist had it.
In the last photo, Twist driving a tank, she has a dead look in her eyes. She's lost everything. It sounds like she survived the Last Day, but that was the last straw. She crawled into Miramare Crater with her photos and waited for the radiation to kill her. But she didn't die. Since the Eternity talisman was in 'absorb' mode, it consumed her soul and added it to the mix.
After that, there's a gap. Somehow the talisman got switched back into 'regenerate' mode and created the new body we know as Rampage. Somehow, the addition of Twist scrambled the system so that Shujaa was no longer in command. I don't know whether the tank was just in the way the first time she regenerated, or if she was up and active while the souls sorted themselves out and the Rampage personality emerged, and the tank fell on her at a later date. Either way, though, the Rampage personality's first memory is being found by the ghouls in the crater.

How do you explain the skeleton in the tank?

The body eventually decomposed and the talisman rolled out of the tank, leaving behind an intact skeleton. Exactly how or when it reactivated is a mystery, but Shujaa's sanity indicates that there's been a fundamental change in the Eternity core's operation.

I'll admit that it's possible the item that collected Razorwire's soul was a different device, but if it was, that leaves the question of how you can end up with a dead Shujaa when she should have been capable of regenerating intact from even disintegration, or how Twist got in there after Shujaa's apparent death.

Based on Razorwire's experience, it involves an implanted device -- I'm assuming the Eternity core itself -- which absorbs the soul of the being it's implanted in upon their death. Octopus was in some sort of accident during a lecture quite some time before the Last Day; let's suppose it was a terrorist bombing. It happens so quickly, he's only vaguely aware that something bad has happened. He's found comatose in the rubble, and the prognosis is bad. The Project Eternity people see an opportunity. They quickly implant the core into him, he dies without waking up, and his soul enters the core without the stress of a traumatic death.
