Blech. Finally got a chance to put together the computer after waiting on the power supply for a loooong while (and then on the OS) and... nothing happens when I press the power button. Zip, kaput, etc. After doing some rudimentary testing with paperclips (terrifying but useful!) I have determined that the problem is probably with the motherboard (argh), given that nothing even beeps when I hit the on button. Alternatively, I guess the case's switches could be 100% pure ass? Anyway, though, sending the mama board back. Very disheartened on this whole damn project at this point - since the damn thing won't turn on, I can't verify that any single part is functional except the power supply. Ah, well, I kind of expected something to go wrong; just not something this anticlimactic. Plus, now I have to deal with storing all the other, theoretically functional parts.

Anyway, though, happy New Year! I got to hang out with both relatives and an adorable golden retriever that sat on my feet for hours, which was nice.

You don't know which of the two is the real problem?

AFAICT the switches on a case being jacked up is pretty damn rare. I'm going to try to find some way to test them, but the online troubleshooting guides I found didn't even mention the switch as a potential problem. /shrug

@Tytan: I do have to severely quirk a brow at the "you never listen to me" part. You literally bragged about it several times how you weren't listening to me. Atop that didn't know shit about anything. Repeatedly ignored any topic I talked about that wasn't related to sex. (such as Warmachine, any games, PH or whatnot) Just to bitch about me not talking about anything else than sex. So in the past ~6 months, all you've done is go "durr!" and done your best to come off as a ignorant jackass, and now you're upset because your actions have had consequences based of how you've behaved? I don't get it.

My best guess is that she's (very obliquely) saying she thought he was quite butthurt over something she considered inconsequential, thus has a small stick up his ass which nevertheless causes a great deal of pain. So he's small, like an elf (drow apparently being about five feet tall and "slight of build"). Otherwise, I've got nothing.
