- Fallout New Vegas, if you haven't tried it yet.
- Dragon Age: Inquisition seems to be all the rage these days.
- Saints Row 4 is definitely a fun game.
- The Stalker series, although it's somewhat hardcore.
- Speaking of hardcore, not having played them I'm not sure to which extent the Dark Souls games can be considered "open world", but they're apparently good sauce.

Yeah. You need to be good character and after Gray Warden fortress and Empress quest there will be his quest.
How to notice that quest started - he will be blocked from party selection and his tarot card will change.

I feel the exact same way.

In any case, currently trying to decide what specialization my warrior should get. If seeker was an option I'd pick it in a second but, for roleplaying reasons, templar feels off. Lyrium addiction is bad.
After that there's drinking dragon blood or going for champion. I get the feeling that champion is for people that use a sword and shield, though.
I dunno. Probably going to have my qunari do what qunari seem to do... it just seems like Iron Bull's skills haven't been terribly impressive so far.

Alas, I can't help you there. I know the most crazily powerful specializations for mage and rogue but I haven't done a warrior playthrough,

Morrowind and Oblivion aren't quite as streamlined as Skyrim, combat-wise, but they're still oodleshits of fun and allow a good bit more options in terms of customization and--especially in Morrowind case, freedom. 

Though, you're playing in the land of (Dark) elves and the Empire, respectively, so they might not jibe with your weird Stormcloak boner.

Aren't cliff racers responsible for there not being dragons?

And Juib Saint Juib the Eradicator, Hero of Morrowind and Slayer of the Winged Menace is why there's no cliff racers anymore; much like the Akiviri Dragonguard Blades, the snake people various Man race legion of warriors spy/bodyguard order is responsible for no more dragons in Akivir

I believe they wrote it in that cliff racers more or less swarmed the dragons into noping the fuck off, never to return.

It's also got Meridia with a ludicrous Scottish accent, ghost crusaders that all suck at their job, and--of course--a main adversary with four arms. Did Alduin have four arms? Fuck no. Alduin had his little function as the Gods' World-Eater and shit. Dagon's plan was "fuck you" because "fuck you". Dragons ain't got nothin' on that

welp, I can't even activate my copy.

I had bought the GOTY version years ago on Impulse. Before it was acquired by Gamestop, renamed as "Gamestop Digital Download", and subsequently killed.

Welp. I guess I'll need to re-buy it on steam, then. It'll only be the third time I buy Fallout 3... (first the exclusive retail collector edition, without any DLC, then this GOTY edition).

In Skyrim, my DunNord axe-lady was torn between Odahving-senpai and Paarthurnax-sama. Durnehviir was the eccentric old man who distributes wise romance advice and Alduin was the brash bad-boy who, in competing for her affections, drew the dislike of Paarthurnax and Odahving.

In Oblivion, my dashing gentleman Unarmed Nord rogue, Señor Punchyfist, has claimed the heart of many a Dremora. Before literally ripping out said heart and eating it. Sort of to be expected from the guy who fights demons near-naked and is convinced he's of an ethnicity that doesn't exist on Nirn.
