I think Kecha Wacha might be my new favorite monster. Wish more of the fight took place in the part of the maps he was better suited for. Can't complain too much though, this guy was damn fun to fight.

And back! Very surprisingly early, but I'm not complaining.

Huh. I hopped over to Amazon a few days back and picked up sequels to series I'd left a while back due to practical reasons. One being The Daylight War, after The Warded Man and The Desert Spear by Peter Brett.Very interesting world being built, but that's secondary to the characters--even relatively minor characters are multifaceted and distinct, and the main ones are very cool indeed. The second being Valor, following Malice by John Gwynne. More of a build-up/origin story for what's to come, but interesting enough. 

What's notable, though, is the issue of memory--I last picked up The Desert Spear in the early-middle period of Senior year in high school. After the two-and-a-half year interval, I fired The Daylight War right up and remembered exactly where everyone was and the state of the world and the characters. I read Malice while in Limbo/Purgatory between cycles at Basic, a bit less than a year ago.....and I barely remember what the hell's going on, who the fuck anyone is, who's alive or dead, or what the hell a bunch of giants want with a goddamn cauldron anyway.

So you can, I picked the charge blade and it's very first upgrade requires you have monster broth. Which I was pretty sure came from Bhanabras and maybe Altaroths. Both of which in order to harvest from require either poison smoke bombs or poison coating if you're using a bow.

The materials to make the bombs are admittedly available early on but it was more effort than I wanted to put in. Somehow though the broth ended up in my pack... huh.

Everyone I've talked to is using the charge blade. Myself included.

It's just so damned good.

Hell yeah it is, it's got mobility and power. I've given every other weapon type in the game at least a chance and none of them feel quite as good. Not to mention this thing has plenty of moves that can be linked together if you take the time to play around with it.

The one concern I have is that I could not break the Seltas' horn. Seeing as you're using the same weapon Ty have you had any luck? Good chance I'm just terrible.

I got it on my first try. I couldn't point to one thing I did to get it.

The general tips are to keep your stamina bar high so you don't bounce attacks, and try for jump attacks so you can ride him and knock him to the ground. And when you do knock him to the ground just go to town on his face with your hardest hitting attacks.

Also, the special attack/ combo for the charge blade is crazy awesome. A friend referred to it as the 'Devil Driver'.

Huh, managed to lop off the horn easily this time. Not sure if you know this or not yet but you can skip to the end of the "Devil Driver" by hitting X and A at the same time after the first special attack. Useful if you only have two phials or limited attack window.

To be fair, all four of said dicks (each unique and distinct in size, proportion, and vein/glans detail) were oriented toward a dripping-mouthed smiley face--marked with Sergeant stripes to denote that it was, indeed, a pictorial representation of said team leader.

Only reason why I don't like Blackwall, it's how his bear reflects all the light, like if it's made of glass. But in overall..he's close to Garrus kind of companion. And I love Garrus's character.

As a side-note, I spent most of my guard-shift working with Pitt, the ridiculously adorable and affectionate drug dog, once again. The MP handler even brought out the training sleeve, so we could 'play' with him. 

Turns out lil' old Pitt's a bit of a sociopath. He interprets 'get' as 'murder'. He interprets 'escort' as 'murder'. He interprets 'heel' as 'murder'. He interprets any form of 'stop' as 'murder'. And he still had that dopey, happy look on his face. As he carried the sleeve back to the van, his jaunty gate and happy expression could only be interpreted as "oh, man, I wish this was a real severed arm!"

He and I get along great nonetheless, though. He even seemed to remember me from the last time we worked together.

Question to those who are playing, or have played, Dragon Age Inquisition: why do I hate Blackwall?
I mean, I hate Dorian 'cause he's a whiny little self-centered drama queen. I hate Sera because she's an outright git, impish or no. I hate Iron Bull because he (and his crew) are made up of steriotypes and action movies. I hate Solas because... well, a lot of reasons.
I like pretty much everyone else because all the other second and third tier characters are pretty dynamic and well-developed.

I don't like Blackwall, though. I don't know what he's done to deserve it. Maybe a little about how he fawns over having someone to lead him, maybe a little because picking up any trash with "Gray Wardon" scrawled on the side leads to "Greatly Approves" popping on the screen. The former's just a fact of his situation, though, and I'd assume the later's mostly due to lazy writing.
There's got to be more to it. He has a nice beard. He's polite. He's pretty good (in both morality and ability) and wants little more than to help the world. He doesn't seem all that different from Cassandra or Cullen, in that regard, and I like them...

Anyone else just not like that guy?

Have you completed his personal quest?
Because there's a lot there that definitely changes how you view his character.

I liked basically all of the main cast, since even the ones that I thought were relatively boring brought some nice elements to the group. Except Sera. Fuck Sera.

But tbh, if you 'get to know' Sera better she's....well..slightly less crazy bitch she is. Also hilarious talk between Sera and everyone in party.
