Being a traitor is what stresses me out. If I can't do my job fast enough, then I'm just wasting everyone's time and "proving" that I'm a bad traitor. I can't do my job anyway, because there's never an opportunity to do so. Everyone seems to always be bunched up (i.e. where I can't do anything relevant without being killed instantly), and whenever someone splits from the group, there's always at least one person with them, they're gone only for an inconveniently small amount of time, the name of who killed them gets called out over the mic, or some combination thereof.

It doesn't help that some of the traitor equipment doesn't even work correctly, and saying anything like "let's check this out over here" or some such thing that even remotely resembles a ruse automatically puts me under suspicion. Some people even act on those paranoid feelings when there's no real basis for their actions besides "it made sense to me".

I end up feeling like a moron and/or a child every time I'm the traitor, because I'm always confused, unskilled, and ultimately a failure. It just never ends well for me.

I don't think TTT gives much real opportunity for skilled gameplay. It feels way too random. It's the rare round where I feel like I've outsmarted anyone. When you get down to it, it's 1 vs 4 or 5 deathmatch, and the element of surprise isn't worth so much when people ran-dumb-ly kill each other. If I was designing a game like TTT from the ground up, I'd make the traitor have to cooperate with everyone else at some task, like defending against zombies or antilions while maintaining your island base or space ship. Something that requires teamwork and forces the traitor to choose their monkey wrench carefully. Definitely make it take longer to kill someone, maybe give the traitor the ability to put on a mask so people can't identify them for a bit. As it is, lots of the traitor and detective tools look like they're designed for roleplay servers. As much fun as we've had with it, the question "Who's the Traitor?" seems more like "Who sneezed?"

So I was gonna (make someone else) create a thread asking who got Battlefield 3 downloaded, but it seems a little last minute for that today, so I guess we'll see what we do tonight.

Can see how that's stressful. I avoid it completely by being honest 'bout it. Buy body armor immediately, look for weapons that are not the H.U.G.E., claim traitor, and let em have it. Grenades help. Sometimes I wait about a minute or two just because it's funny to see Draz scaring everyone by being a traitor sympathiser. More or less why everyone can trust me when I'm not 'it'. (sidenote: Poor Talix. Wasn't a nice thing to shoot him, Draz.)

BF3 please. Defib all the things!

'slong as you don't call out your killer (something I'm accidentally prone to do a lot; "Hi X! Oh, I'm dead now") I think anything goes. Remember, the game nights are about fun, not showing off prowess.

Reminded me of the Just Cause 2 car battles we had. Also tried Trackmania. Would be a fun game if we can get it setup right (curse my inability to control my router. Soon). Had a bit of fun with a video-synching site called InstaSynch (totally watch videos together on the site.). Real bummer that SynchTube died. Ended playing Hardline beta with Aonee and Real.

Wasn't really an organized thing. Stone and I were hanging out on the TS server. Swicked and his buddy joined in. I asked to play, while at the same time Aonee wanted to play Warframe with me. Told him I would be trying to play Magicka instead so he hopped on and we joined Swicked.
