I hope you guys don't mind if I record the Gmod matches. I'd like to share our group's shenanigans.

What would I need to get in on these gmod matches?

Obviously gmod+at least one other source game installed (TF2 fulfils that requirement, but having others opens up other stuff like NPC AI with half-life 2 and counter-strike's guns) and free time when we're playing. Teamspeak's also good if you have a mic since then we don't clutter up the in-game voice chat if it exists.

Another thing that we should consider where Gmod is concerned, is whether or not we should host our own temporary server, or find a random empty one. Finding an empty one would theoretically be easier, but for games like Trouble in Terrorist Town and Murder, it could be a little troublesome. By that I mean RDM shenanigans would be harder to pull off, because someone outside of our group could decide to be a dick and get us banned or something along those lines. I'd host the server, but my PC keeps crashing at odd times, so it could screw us all over.

So... anyone want to play a game tonight? Or maybe tomorrow night. It doesn't really matter what game, probably cards against humanity since everyone can play that. And by everyone I mean the relatively few who are going to see this post here since it's only 2 hours before the normal time we used to play at and stuff.

I've gotten into Blacklight: Retribution, a free-to-play twitch-based cyberpunk themed shooter, with an equally huge focus on weapon customization like Loadout, if anyone wants to join me. Sadly most of the weapon parts are based on a rental system, and to buy them permanently requires huge loads of in game currency.

You need to download the Prop Hunt add-on from the GMod steam workshop. You should be set afterwards.

EDIT: Not the one that shows the TF2 Pyro on the cover, it should show Dr Klein from HL2.

Does the add-on/mod have all the props/models you need, or does it just let gmod understand the game mode? Because IIRC, Gmod uses the assets of other steam games on your computer in terms of actual models, NPC AI etc.

It should work fine, but sometimes Counter strike is sometimes need for textures. There's a fix for that here, if you run into it.

EDIT: We should probably put out an event before it gets much later. I can find us a server.

So after two successful, if rather rocky and impromptu game nights, I can maybe try to actually get the game nights back in full action.
That said, once again, I need to know what games the members have. Depending on who has what games, we can start setting up something liked themed game nights to help switch up what we play.

So instead of Monday being Killing Floor like it was last year, it'll be something like.. Team Based Shooter Monday where we play TF2 one week and Loadout the next and Natural Selection 2 the week after that. Tuesday could be turned into Garry's Mod night and we switch out the game type we play from week to week. Just examples, not final decisions.

But yeah, please, please please please, make a list of the games you own, put it in spoilers tags to save space, and once I feel like I have a good count, I'll ask what kind of game nights ya'll want.

I suggest you list ALL your multiplayer games, but please note that if you have a game nobody else seems to have and it's over $10 nobody may get it for a while. Also that unless people show interest in getting it a game that only two people have and nobody else probably won't make it into a game night. So Primal Carnage and The Secret World are probably never gonna make it into a game night.

Cards Against Humanity and other such online games will either get their own game night if people vote for one, if not than they can be put in as filler to further space out other game nights.

EDIT: There's also a mod for the menu that let's you mute other players. Standard Gmod has no such thing, so this may be necessary for us.
