You know what's frustrating? When you're trying to check the stock and price on several laptops, and one of the stores hangs up on you. After spending my entire day cross-referencing laptop models and looking up the meanings behind technical jargon, and after spending twenty minutes on the phone just checking to see who has what, I actually came to a conclusion via process of elimination. Thankfully, despite all of that, I should actually have a laptop at Christmas.

Considering how slow the pacing has been around here, it would have been faster if I did everything myself. I know a good amount about desktops, and it seemed likely that there is some overlap between the two types. Besides, I had a very narrow range in which to look, I can't order anything online. If I can't walk in and pick it up myself, I can't buy it.

Huh. Here, usually, it's vice versa. It's cheaper to buy it on-line. More over - buy parts, to a PC. Won't work with laptops though, but still - it's cheaper to buy it online, most of the times.

I mean I literally cannot buy online, I have no means to do so. No credit card aside from that of my parents.

You can always pay with cash to Courier and then shot him in the head twice, so he will go on quest of finding platinum chip  . Or that's not really an option where you're living?

Knowing me, I would have paid with a payment plan involving a brush gun and improvised explosives, but the idea of achieving the rank of Vilified with the police was quite dissuading.

I finally got a 'good' gaming rig, YAY! 
That means I can finally play Fallout 3 without it crashing to desktop every five minutes!
So is it worth playing vanilla FO:3 and NV or should I skip right to mods?

Warning: a lot of the story mods are half assed, and only a few are worth it. Also a lot of the body mods conflict with one another. So read first what doesn't work with what.

Go through the games vanilla first, than look into mods.

This coming from a guy who doesn't use mods so make of that what you will.

There are some you might as well get.

There are some performance enhancers that get rid of a lot of unnecessary crap.

You should definitely download the Nexus Mod Manager. Makes downloading and using mods SOOOO much easier.

EVE is also a good one. Revamps energy weapons and stuff.



Whatever you do, DO NOT GET A PIPBOY REPLACER.
I downloaded one and tried to get rid of it and it broke my game. I had to restart.
