I was asked to take some empty milk jugs out to the dumpster a little bit ago, found out that someone put a little tree in a pot on top of the lid. My left hand had three things in it, so I grabbed the pot and accidentally smacked it down on the boardwalk. Fucking wood spider jumped out of the pot and landed right next to me.

As a quick visit to any other page on that site will attest, these folks surely aren't biased and surely aren't going to spin any news story they can in a way that supports their views, nosiree. 

Not worth discussion. Especially considering that, as history has proven when the forum has debates on these things, they're entirely fruitless and end with both parties 'agreeing to disagree' before anyone gets pissed off.

Snakes are good eating in some cultures, I understand.

This reminds me of a funny story my dad told me (he'd read it in a book). There was a single mom raising two young boys out in Montana, back when the west was actually wild and all. Anyway, times was hard, so any sort of food that you came by wasn't something you'd turn your nose up at. Oh, they weren't starving or nothing, but it wasn't a good year.

Anyway, one of the two boys saw a snake out in the fields - a rattler. Well, even if her two kids knew well enough to stay away, the cows and horses weren't so always clever, so she brought her rifle out and shot the thing before it could do any damage. And, well, she remembered an old recipe for cooked snake...

Story doesn't end there. Later on in the day, they saw a man riding down the road, and quickly recognized him as a fellow wanted by the law - we'll call him Mister Buford. He wasn't a bandit or mad dog gunslinger, mind you - word was, the fellow he'd killed had needed killing more than most. Still, he was a dangerous one, for sure.

Well, he came up to their house and asked if he might stay the night in their barn. Being a charitable sort (and also a mite afraid), the family agreed to give him shelter, and invited him to the table for dinner.

As they were eating, conversation was understandably sparse. The youngest boy, though, who was a bit of a mischief-maker and not so fearful as the rest of his family, inquired of the outlaw whether he'd heard about folks who'd eaten cooked rattlesnakes, and wasn't that just something else?

The outlaw grunted, and said, "If someone ever served me a snake to eat, I'd shoot 'em."

Not dropping a beat, the woman asked, "More chicken, Mr. Buford?"

Caribou/Reindeer is really good, especially as sausage or on pizza

Moose is pretty good as well, really tender if you cook it right and makes good sloppy joes.
