 Of course, that's just logic. Although most people would tend to tune out someone who's that insistent and annoying. A good co-driver is Cortana, a bad co-driver is Clippy.

EDIT: Some quality lost through the fact it's using the inline hosting service that removes transparency, otherwise the legs look better.
On the other hand, until I fix it in GIMP, the eye is an issue and is ALSO transparent.
So.. yah.
Easy fix, but I need sleep.

If you want I could give you some condensed advice on things I learned at college. Me personally when I first started out drawing I couldn't even draw a stick figure. I was actually severly shocked when I got my stuff into a art gallery that people actually thought I was good enough, and even more shocked the second time that it wasn't a one time fluke.

 That makes sense, yeah. It's mentioned that they tend to wear heavy armor. 

Oddly, not many in the story tend to actually fight how you'd expect an army to fight--with any sort of cohesion. Everyone just tends to rush out and rely on every warrior's individual skill rather than their ability to work together, to the point that the rivalries and infighting among Nightkin are outright encouraged. 

Tl;dr: for a species so obsessed with 'harmony', they overall suck at working together

Why bother to spend years (and tons of money) training the Nightkin on everything on tactics from the squad level to the battlefield level, then, if you're just going to have them trying to sneak around with no coordination like a bunch of amateurs?

 That, unfortunately, probably is the case. There are obvious parallels drawn between the Nightkin and (the Hollywood version of) the Spartans, but the author forgets that the Spartans (and the Immortals, and every other effective military unit in the history of warfare) weren't a horde of supermen, they were normal men working together and covering each other's backs.

Somewhat ironically, this leads to Spartans being more or less the reverse of the Nightkin. Most Nightkin are perfectly willing to stab each other in the back (no matter how much they spew about being 'family') but are fanatically loyal to Luna. Spartans, however, would sooner die than betray their brothers-in-arms, but were hilariously easy to bribe and corrupt.

Knocked the sucker loose, and breathed in a lungful of blood followed by completely soaking a sock, rifle bore cleaning tabs (didn't have tissues when it started), a sink, and finally some tissues before it stopped. And now the scab is back and bugging me again because it's blocking the nostril.
