Ah, in which case my MM must have been really lucky.
Also means the Type 3 is probably worse than the T-25 overall. It might do a little bit better up close because the T-25 can't turn it's turret or hull very fast, but the T-25 has potentially bouncy armour, a big HP pool for a medium tank and is quick in a straight line, which means you can contest spots faster or absolutely exploit a bad spot in the enemy line (once to the tune of nine kills).

49.1% of victories, and increasing, with only 947 games played thus far. Lyra

Though my personal "score" is only 215 thus far. I wonder what's the formula behind it...

First match with the Covenanter : 3 kills on El Halluf with minimal loss of HP on my side. Aaaw yeah !

I get the feeling the stock gun is actually the best one on that machine, strangely enough ; having tested the three others that are available in the previous Cruisers.

It's going to need that improved suspension & engine, though. It's pretty sluggish right now.

Though with a 40% chance of fire on engine hit, I'm not so sure about the necessity of upgrading it...

Got one shot by an american Wolverine, from full health (310 HP). Is that a normal hit for the Wolverine, or did I get ammo-racked ?

Yeah, I put it in. I'll run her for a game and see how much better / worse it is.

And my winrate jumped at 49.21%, +0.11% in the span of a 4 games. What the heck ?

Is playing British instead of French actually doing good to my winrate, or am I just getting better ?

Or maybe it is just luck ?

Yeah the low tier French tanks really aren't good. British vehicles are easier to influence the game with and do better in.

I needed to play 5,000 games to repair my winrate from the two Tiger tanks to 50%. Those two vehicles killed any invitation to play in a CW clan for the second Clan Wars campaign, although I'm happy to lurk in READ and do the distraction landings to get the ribbon. Although if all the really good players move over to the allied clan we won't make it.

Speaking of shitty things...

Do any of you know if there's plan to introduce France as a playable Nation in War Thunder ?

'Cause I'm pretty sure we've got enough tanks, planes and ships to reasonably fill the tech tree at the various tiers.

But back on French tanks, Re WoT :

The BDR G1 B is really hard to play. It has basically zero armor except at the front, it's tall as a house BUT it can't go hull down because it has almost no gun depression. Its only saving grace is that hate-fueled 90mm gun, which I love, but I can only ever use it to its full potential in Ruinberg, as a peek-a-boom implement ; or as a long range sniper on open maps - though there I'm seriously limited by the rendering distance...

If only the engine was more powerful...

Can't wait to get the ARL 44. I get the feeling it's going to be even worse, what with that barn-sized turret, but at least I'll be going upward.

The AMX 12t, though... if it could go die in a fire, it would be cathartic as far as I'm concerned. And worse, it looks like the AMX 13 75 isn't going to be much better, with a choice of guns that's pretty weak. At least I hope the engine and suspension are better.

Bit late, but it can mount a 105 mm howitzer, which can do that much damage in one hit.

@ Ketchup : thanks for the info. I suspected something like that, especially considering the covenanter has basically no armor.

Some sort of spotting gun, you occasionally see the North Koreans with AK's strapped to artillery guns...

The idea didn't catch on, just NK is about 30 years still until they reach that point in history.

Duxford was AMAZING. I'll have tons of cool pics soon, but despite the weather almost all got off. The Hawker Hunter stole the show entirely, just roaring on in its final ever performance before being sold to a private collector, so the pilot was just making the airframe give it all she had left in her for one epic last roaring bout. Was coming diving and screaming over the crowd, vapour blasts over the fuselage and streaming trails behind her too before banking and showering the people with the snap of that 50's jet engine.

The Hunter truly is epic. If I didn't know planes and someone told me it was a modern plane, I'd believe them. It looks that ahead of its time. How it climbed and span was truly something. The Royal Navy Lynx HMA8 and Army Air Corps Apache were awesome too with the B-17 "Sally-B" opening it in splendid fashion. Those big bombers are truly something to behold up there. Red Bull acrobats went insane in the air, we got some Bf109 flyovers and a ton of American aircraft too. The Wildcat demo was truly a great prop plane masterclass. Then rounded it out with the lone Hurricane and then a flight of four synchronised Spitfires. Also visited the hangers and halls. Saw a freaking Vulcan! Also a Valiant! And a Lancaster! So much cool stuff.

Also an English Electric Lightning, the only plane to every successfully intercept both the U-2 and SR-71. The plane was like a daily embarrassment for the Americans. (Vulcan was too, it's the only aircraft to successfully "bomb" the US mainland and get away with it in a training exercise)

One standout was the TSR2. An extremely rare British strike bomber. Only two remain and they were so good that they had to be cancelled. There was just no war big enough to need a plane of their power and cost at the time. Seeing one in the flesh was just epic. Those huge nozzles on the engines give an impression of the frankly absurd levels of power this plane had. Something bigger than an F-111 that could pull Mach 2 at almost any altitute while carrying a full bomb load? Yes please!

The American hall had neat stuff. A full B-52 in the middle, a U-2 above, SR-71 Blackbird, F-15 outside, B-29, B-24, B-17, Phantom...the whole lot. Even saw a tank hall. Plenty of not often seen Brit things (like a Centaur command tank, Monty's Caravans, Monty's Grant tank and a Canadian Grizzly. Also had an IS-2. It's massive. Tanks are so much bigger than you'll ever believe until you see one. The Centurion, Chieftain and Challenger 1 in particular were an epic spectacle.

Will defo go again next year for their Battle of Britain memorial flight day. See that Lancaster in the air beside the B-17. The two sides of Bomber Command and 8th Air Force.

Back on WoT...bit of news:

- apparently, KV-1S will indeed be split into two: historical KV-85 will be on tier 5 with current speed/agility, on tier 6 there will be KV-85/122, with seriously nerfed speed/agility, but it will keep the 122mm gun (SS: this could be just speculation, not sure)

We'll see. Either way it's progress. Any other nation would be told "speed is your upgrade" for the KV-1S without a 122 though.

- historical battles will come, garage battles will come after them, they will come in 2014, but the concept was tried already

Historical in 2014. Nice.

KV-1S has lost its drivers viewport and machine gun port weakspots on the frontal hull as an armour buff. But it has also lost its strong join between the upper and lower glacis completely now, you all know the bit I mean.

IS-3 got a HUGE frontal armour buff. As if it needed it!

News:

- Q: “When the Allies captured the entire German archives, was there ever a case when the Allies had a look at the German solutions and were like ‘that’s genius, we’ll do that too’?” A: “Yea, the entire French branch.” (later SerB states that practically all post-war French tanks are based on German drawings)

...what, is Serb that deluded?

- T-35 will apparently not be a part of a regular branch, it’s too weak for tier 4 too

Interesting. But then it's Russian, so to them if it isn't dominating its tier KV-1S style it's "too weak." So tier 4 is probably best for it.

- T58 (Heavy) apparently won’t be introduced, despite the German 150mm autoloader TD making it to the game: “It has armor, Germans don’t.”

Then balance it in other ways. Geez, that's gonna annoy some Americans.

- PzSfl.V is not called “Sturer Emil” in game, because it was simply a nickname, equal to the SU-76 being called “bare-ass Ferdinand” in Russian

Yet Sturer Emil sounds way cooler. Also, why is the Wolverine called what it is then? Or the Hellcat? They were both nicknames. Hooray for double standards.

- the tank hit decals (SS: those texture “holes”) disappearing when new ones are created won’t be changed for now

"We want to reduce people spotting glitched armour."

- a half of players writing on the reload timer wants bigger numbers and a half wants smaller, for now it will stay as it is

Why not let them change size like the minimap?
