Also got a Radley-Walters in the Sherman.

Got my VK and my Type T-34 in the same day, as well as the upgraded turret for my Jumbo. Booyah.

Since it's just an 8500 xp grind to unlock the 3601H from the 3001H, I think I'm gonna get that out of the way, too.

While I'm grinding the French Heavy and Light / Medium lines, I want to have something different on the side to have for a change on pace.

Any suggestions ?

I've grinded a bit the Chinese, am at Tier 2 so far, but looking back at it I'm not so sure about it anymore. I've got the impression the grind is going to be painful until I reach the good stuff.

I was also thinking of maybe trying the French Arty line, but Arty seems to be pretty boring and dull to be quite honest.

I'm not really interest in doing the French TD line so far. I like having a turret.

I could maybe try to aim for the Sherman on the US tree, but the M3 Lee is on the way...

Ideas ? Suggestions ?

I already own a Matilda, for information.

---------

On other matters, I already have the camouflage net on the ELC, so what modules would you suggest I put on it ? Can I paint it red ?

...

Oh man, that's a thing I should do if I have the chance.

How do you get a custom paintjob done ?

I have vents, suspension, and optics on mine. Suspension is totally worth it for the extra track durability.

The only paint jobs you have are in the camo section. If you want anything else, you're going to have to download a texture mod.

Well, my first impressions of the 112 are that it's a really good tank. I read a review of it claiming the tank is slow but otherwise a sound vehicle.

Let me assure you, for a tier 8 heavy tank, this is not slow. On the flat it will easily reach 40kph and downhill will get to 50 in seconds, is fairly maneuverable and the turret traverse is good.
The tank has better gun depression than most other Chinese tanks. Although it's not great it does allow the tank to go hull down easily on gently rolling terrain, which makes the tank pretty much invincible.

The front armour is fantastic and can bounce most tier eight heavy tank guns and anything from a tier seven. The sides and rear are made of absolute paper though so you must be wary of presenting your sides, even when trying to angle. But with that in mind you can bounce an obscene amount of firepower.
The turret has two average sized cupolas which are easily penetrated but with the shape of the turret if you keep swinging the barrel it should put off most shots.

The gun is essentially the same one that's mounted on the IS-2. All of the stats are identical, but the 112's turret grants a slightly higher rate of fire. The gun isn't very accurate and I found myself missing a few mid-long range shots on full accuracy, something I'm not used to being a British and German tanker, but the alpha is pretty darn good. Pen is OK using regular ammo but you have to aim for the sides and rear of most tanks. Gold ammo makes this tank shine, making it able to penetrate most tier 8 heavies from the front and it gets enough money to break even on a victory with a regular account and turn a substantial profit with premium even when firing exclusively gold rounds. If you could be bothered to switch between ammo types in the game you'd make an absolute mint.

It must be worth noting that the 112 cannot penetrate itself from the front other than the cupolas, even slinging gold around.

It also seems to have premium matchmaking, which makes this tank really stand out. It's gun packing gold is good enough to exploit most tier nines especially if you use it's agility to your advantage, but regular ammo will struggle in most cases and the vehicle is probably ineffective at tier ten.

This tank is essentially a super brawler. Get in close situations and you can dictate how the battle goes, but in the open or flanking enemies and you will be punished severely. It seems to have a smaller section of spaced armour than the IS-3 and 6 on the side so it is much easier to kill from the side. Using a 250 pen gun you can reliably go through the side even when angled at 45 degrees.

34-3 isn't very good comparitively. Regular medium armour which can't bounce much apart from the front of the turret, less gun depression, gun has a longer aiming time and worse rate of fire and it's about as manueverable as the 112 is.

It's a fairly balanced tier 8 premium, but the 112 isn't one of those.

Also, trying to just get the *2 with my Centurion mk 1 over the last two days has been like smashing my head against a wall over and over and over. The teams I've been getting either no idea what their tanks' role is in life or they don't look at the map or both. How they all managed to get to tier eight I have no idea.
Mainly I end up hull down on a hill where about a third of the team should be and I have maybe two low tier friends if I'm lucky, while all of the enemy teams know exactly how to play the maps they're on. If I'm really unlucky, I get RNG'ed to hell and back as well before my inevitable demise. It is really not pleasant, especially given the Centurion 1 is my best tank.

Really though, I'm still not going to know my decision for sure until I play the thing. And have a little experience with the Type T-34 I just got.

Anyone have experience with the Type 59 or other Chinese meds? Why is it such a sought-after tank? What makes it "good"? (besides being bouncy as fuck to anything that is on any tier below it) I'd like a little more input.

It's a well-armored medium with a high top speed and a good rate of fire. It's a total beast for wolfpacking and making money as a result.

That said, the gun is total crap, the engine sucks, and the ammo rack is pre-lit to make it easier to blow up.

Grabbed the T95 and the T110E5 on the test as well as the M68/L7 gun on the M48.

The T110E5 might not be worth the credit cost, but it has nice armour and mobility isn't too shabby.

The T95 is just as expected. Doom turtle.

The M68 is just awesome. I penetrated everything I hurled shells at, just with the APDS. Nice touch to have that as it's primary ammo, seeing that it did not have an AP shot shell. And the cost? Same as the T32's, and M46's shells. Only 1k per shell. But it's 1.2k for the statistically identical British version...
I need that gun.
Also, the gun mantlet is very strong on the M48, as expected.

You're honestly better off staying on the M46. The Fatton will just disappoint you in the long run.

That's just my opinion though.

Considering how much I hated the M46 in comparison, I'm not surprised. It's the only reason I didn't sell the M46 and just give up.
From the test server using the M68, it has all the M46's advantages aside from speed(still respectable with great softies) while compensating for what disadvantages it had for my playstyles.

Oh, but what do I know. It's my first tier ten since I started playing in Beta.

I got my VK 3001(H) again. It's an odd tank in that you can equip all of the top equipment without needing the better suspension. Which coming from someone who's grinded both the Porsche and Henchel lines it rather useful because I've got all of the equipment researched from other lines.

Now, time to put the delicious 75 L70 to good use and train the crew on my T-25 too before the new version hits. I want my Konish delivery system to be fully trained when the patch goes live. Whether I'll like it more than my T-25 is highly unlikely but it'll give me another regular tier 5 to abuse in the specials (even though it turns out the T-25 has no special matchmaking so platooning with other premium tanks is actually a disadvantage).

Challenger stated, it would fit as ~T8 medium in its historical characteristics. Replacement or final decision is to be announced.

We had seen this coming, the results found were very unusual. many predict it sliding to Tier 8 Premium
I wouldn't mind having it as a premium tier 8.

Saw this in one of the comments on Jingles' review of he "rebalanced" Super Pershng on the 8.8 test server:

Firefly will probably be a T6 British TD since the firefly is a lend lease Sherman the Brits thought had a shit gun so the mounted a 17 pounder on it
So let me get this straight...you think it should be a TD on the basis that it was given a 17-pounder?

Please drown yourself.
