One would expect that the one-legged, half-blind pirate would get a cool and menacing name to suit his combat experience. Of course, the original subject of the conversation having been pirates' general unimagitive naming schemes, he simply kept his mundane name of Larry

Re: [Official!] Project Horizons Comment Crew Chat thread.
Thanks for the welcomes. And erf, hope you normally don't go more than ~3 pages per day. I want to have time to actually stay and catch up xD
As for my fic: Guess I could... might take a bit more than I had planned though. Because I'm slow.
I won't be reading the fic anymore, or at all as said though due to being fed up with all the shit in it. Might post a ramble explaining about it if desired.
As for Pacific Rim: Heard Bob speak great things about it. Especially how it wasn't bland, monotone or the same generic shit that keeps getting churned out.
@Camo: (Regarding "Private") That sorta reminds me of the comic going "What's your name private? - Dick - Your name is Dick? - Yes... - You know what? I like your style, you're promoted to major!" also, apparently cya later I guess.
@Harmony: (Innocence) Doubt you got any left, seeing how you read PH xP
Also: This is relevant
(Swf) Huh... well, guess that works xP How'd you know what to search on though?
@Frost: (Growing a pair) Balls are weak and fragile, grow a vagina instead, those things can take a pounding x3
@Robo: (French things) Now I got reminded of Leon the Chameleon... I've played too much Awesomenauts lately.
On a side note of that, I also got reminded of my Swedish LTAC (light terrain-going attack bicycle)

"How'd you know what to search on though?"
Cobalt mentioned your OC's name in this thread, which led me to use my google-fu as described.
Also, chuckle at that video.

Just finished up my first Magic tournament. It was Sealed-deck, so I found myself playing blue-white instead of my usual blue-black (or similar combo). Still, I ended up winning two of my four matches, and came away with a slew of new cards

We were playing a 40 card minimum. Upper limits were not discussed.
And yeah, Kat, it was using 2014 Core-set cards

Nice find, Guard. So far I had only seen the original Nuka Break.
@ Katarn : I'm talking about solid cards, not digital version. But the rules should be the same anyway, no ?

I'll say. Drugs, sex, arson, partying-- it's all "sinful" and "licentious" and "resultant in dozens of deaths by smoke inhalation" and "wasteful"

Yes, I've been following Sinfest for a bit, now.
"Why shouldn't I hate my oppressor ?" => Well, regardless of the oppressor... Simply because hate leads only to self-destruction ?
To fight oppression to bring about justice and equality, yes. But unless you're fighting freaking nazies where physically fighting or even actually killing the oppressors IS morally justified and necessary for your survival, hate will only foster a counter-productive mindset that will impede the emancipation movement as a whole ; cultivating a bitterness that will only make it harder to rebuild on the ashes of the old order WITH the old, reformed oppressors.
I'm not a believer. Never have been. But if there's a thing that I learned from the Gospel, it's "Love thy enemy". Not as an abstract, moral notion, but simply as a practical, pragmatic line of thought.

Re: [Official!] Project Horizons Comment Crew Chat thread.
From a purely pragmatic point of view, ask any military commander--getting emotional in your approach to dealing with an enemy is just a great way to get make stupid mistakes and die. There's a reason training and tactics centers on emotionally distancing oneself from the kill. In terms of a less violent conflict, the advice is true tenfold--trying to go about attaining equality and justice hatefully is about as laughable as trying to clean your room by screaming at it
It's the gravity gun, really. I would live there (Combine and all) if I could just snag myself one of those

Re: [Official!] Project Horizons Comment Crew Chat thread.
I heard an Unreal Tournament mod invented it years before HL2. Haven't checked the veracity of that allegation, though.
RE : Hate & Fight : what Frost said. That's also one of the reasons why the whole "Hate makes you stronger !" screed of the Space Marines and the Imperium of Man in Warhammer 40,000 makes little sense out of universe (there's justifications in-universe, but heh, the whole setting holds by author fiat anyway).
