"Well, I'm Breton. I understand if you hadn't heard the tales, but we're half elf half man. We're sometimes called Man-mer. Just about every Breton has some skill with magic. But I guess I was kinda special. It's a kind of tradition for the nobility to have their children tested to see if they have any real skill with magic. Apparently I did. Very much so. From that point on I was studying and being groomed so I could become a successful mage and one day join the university in Cyrodill."

"That's kinda the thing about us Bretons. Being born to high ranking parents is only part of how you become a high ranking person yourself. You prove yourself with accomplishments. That's why you see so many Breton adventurers."

"As for why I like it... I guess because it just comes so naturally."

[Katarn]

"So you're noble lady then? Should I bow to you, my lady?" Aldarilar said with laugh. "I knew about Bretons, knew some. Didn't know about such traditions though. I wonder if my parents were some nobles..or some good doers...or some junkies, who couldn't afford raise their kid..." he shook his head.
"As for me..well, I'm not that talented with magic as you do. Though I like punch people. You saw some of my..not really good moves. You know, when I've burned myself and then missed that big Nord we were fighting.. Set some bandit on fire, while punching him in the face, priceless. Though I prefer more 'clean' approach. just punching..especially with zombies. You know what can be worse, than horde of zombies after you? Horde of zombies on fire after you!"

[Tytan]

Chrystyna smirks, "Well, obviously they weren't on fire enough."

[Katarn]

"That's what I like! If fire doesn't work...use even MORE FIRE!" He shouted...then awkwardly looked around. "So yeah, fire is cool."

"In your guild..you've studied all sorts of magic, right? What was your favourite?"

[Tytan]

"I like a lot of them, but hooves down my favorite is Conjuration. The first proper spell I ever cast was conjuring my familiar. He was like a pet."

[Katarn]

"I wonder if guild would accept so not-mage-type me. I've mastered so far setting something on fire..some times it's not me setting myself on fire." He said with chuckle. "And based on previous statement, I can heal. Myself, for now. i still need figure out how transfer healing magic to others. I've got book about that recently..I guess that's just more practice I need with that."

"As for first time I've cast spell...it was when i was searching for my roots. I was still just a kid, who run off from orphanage. Few older kids..if they can be call'd kids, tried to rob me. We start fighting. I had only my hooves..luckily they had only theirs too, but it was three of them. So after one punch, that reached me I become really...angry, I guess that word would be right. I wish hurt them, reduce them to ashes...one of them missed my next blow..and his clothes started to burn. First he panicked and started rolling in dirt to extinguish fire, then his friends just looked at me in terror and run away. When I looked at my hooves I nearly start screaming, since they were on fire..but that fire didn't burn me. in fact, I hardly could feel it's warmth. Sometimes it comes in handy, even just to intimidate folks."

[Tytan]

"You probably just need to find the right guild. I'm sure quite a few would be eager to learn your... unique perspective on spells."

[Katarn]

"I guess you're right." He rubbed some dirt with his hoof. "I'm not too annoying with all this questioning, am I? If I bore you or something, you can just tell me and I'll back off."

[Tytan]

"No, it's fine. I get the sense that it's important for you to share. Air out your issues, as it were."

[Katarn]

"To be honest, after telling you about my past..I did in fact feel better now. Thank you for that."

"Okay..silly question and you don't have to answer on that. Have you ever got drunk?" He grinned. "Not a bit tipsy type, but type when you have hard time to remember how you got drunk in first place."

[Tytan]

"Yes... once... very recently," she said rubbing the back of her neck.

[Katarn]

"That's okay, I don't ask for details." He looked back at Shield-Breaker. "so that's...nevermind, sorry for asking."
"As for me...I think it was birthday of my friend, who actually thought me how to fight only with my hooves. He also was a Nord, so you can guess how much booze there were. Last thing I remember before massive black out is my saying 'I'll drink this last one and that's it'...after that..I think it was week later, I've woke up in different part of Cyrodiil in some smugglers cave, lying on empty casks and bottles of booze. I don't quite remember how I find my friends after that, but they were looking for me too. After that..I try drink only what can be call'd 'soft' booze, which wont sent you into vertigo after few shots."

[Ketchup]

Hecate approached Aldarilar and Chrystyna, looking around cautiously.
"Uh... am I interrupting?"
He asked quietly, still looking around.

[Katarn]

"Not at all. You have something on your mind...Hecate, was it?"

[Ketchup]

"Yes. Hecate is my name. And yes. Plenty of things on my mind. Mostly questions."
He stated matter-of-factly.
"For some reason, fate puts me here, with some ponies I do not know. I seek to... remedy that. To an extent."

[Katarn]

"Um..well..ask, I guess." Aldarilar shrugged.

[Ketchup]

"Well...where are you from? What did you do before being imprisoned?"

[Katarn]

"Well...I was kinda travailing for many years all across Tamriel with my companions. Killing or capturing bandits, dealing with undead. That sort of thing."
"And what about you?"

[Ketchup]

"I'm a healer."
He says simply.
"From somewhere. I don't know."

[Katarn]

"Well, that's good to have hea--- You don't know where you came from?"

[Ketchup]

He shakes his head.
"No. I was raised in Cyrodiil, but I know I'm not from there."

[Katarn]

"Oh..that kind of 'don't know'. I can relate in some way, to be honest. I've grew up in orphanage."
"Ever tried to find your 'roots'?"

[Ketchup]

"No. Didn't want to. Couldn't anyway."
He said with a shrug.
"What motivates you to do what you do in life?"

[Katarn]

"You mean before I got in prison or after?"

[Ketchup]

He cocks his head.
"Doesn't matter. Aren't they the same?"

[Katarn]

"Well. Before was 'do good things, help folks'. Now it's more like 'die, while doing good things and help folks'." Aldarilar scratched back of his neck.

[Ketchup]

Hecate nods slowly.
"You seek death. I seek life. While one is the absence of the other, they aren't opposites."
He says mostly to himself.
"We all have a purpose. One that we must pursue before we expire. Connecting the two should be a measure of last resort."

[Katarn]

"....."
"Um...I think I understand what you were trying to say. Though..you speak funny, you know that?"

[Tytan]

Chrystyna interjects, "I'm from Wayrest in High Rock. I was a student and then I accidentally murdered a bunch of people. Also, I think I'm hungover."

[Katarn]

"Best part of hangover is discovering what you've been doing before that..sometimes it's not that kind of 'best', but still, pretty funny...worst part of hangover is..hangover itself. Drink lots of water and eat something salty and you'll be fine. Don't drink sea water though, you'll get sicker."
