"I've been told that."
He says quietly before turning towards Chrystyna.
"Do you call it murder if it was an accident, Mage from High Rock? Or does someone else?"

"If you mean do I consider their deaths my responsibilty, then yes, I do. I might not have swung the blade, but I cast the spell that brought it into existence. And if you're arguing semantics, then technically when it's an accident it's called 'pony slaughter'. I think murder sounds nicer than slaughter."

[Katarn]

"You didn't mean harm." Unlike me.

[Ketchup]

"Ah. No, I don't seek to argue anything. My purpose is understanding."
He sighs sadly.
"Taking life of the undeserving is a burden that I believe should be mediated. Make it up to yourself however you can. I think you regret it."

[Tytan]

"Of course I regret it. Why wouldn't I? Not only did I kill at least a dozen fellow mages, but I probably brought shame to my parents name, which is compounded by the fact that no matter what the emperor says I'll never be able to return home."

[Katarn]

"Well, something is planned for us to do here. Maybe that would allow you to return home with honour."

[Ketchup]

"Most would regret it. Those that wouldn't threaten everyone around them. It's can be a good thing that moral people have regrets. They can give discipline and control at best, but despair and disillusion at worst. Try to channel it."
He shook his head.
"I do not mean to offend you. If I do, I duly apologize."

"I'm not offended. I'm just... *sigh* frustrated. I feel like one of the daedric princes is having a laugh at my expense. Probably whatshisname, the prince of chaos."

"I doubt that. I doubt any of them even cared enough to notice your existence."

[Tytan]

"Isn't that how they work though? Through the little people?"

[Katarn]

"We all are little for them. Beggars and emperors, all the same. We're just mere mortals. Thought you might be right." He sighs. "At least not all daedric princes are evil."

[Ketchup]

"They are omnipresent, to my knowledge. They could well have noticed, but may not have taken particular interest in your incident. The ways of the Daedra are beyond the vast majority of mortals, those few being the most devout followers."

[Tytan]

"Well, it was a dremora I summoned. I get the feeling they keep an eye on that sort of thing."

[Katarn]

"Maybe we'll find out one day. Maybe we won't."

"You know, Chrystyna, for been such good listener and just to cheer you up, I want buy you a dinner. With some clearly NOT alcoholic drinks. What would you say?"

"They serve the Prince of Destruction, and Change, if I have been taught what is right."
He rubbed his chin.
"Maybe..."
He said to himself.

"I may have to ask for a rain check. I'm supposed to meet Suleen at the bar tonight for a talk. I don't know if food will be involved or not."

"Oh..okay. I just want express my gratitude. I've never talked about my past with someone..I mean after what happened. So if you be in mood for dinner, just tell me."

[Tytan]

"Well... How about breakfast instead?"

[Katarn]

"That's a good idea too." He smiled.

[Tytan]

"Alright then, next breakfast is on you."

Hecate looked between the two with a nervous smile.
"Always the awkward one, I see."
His smile slowly waned into a look of sadness.
"Good.. um... knowing the two of you a bit more."
He says before walking away, wandering the town aimlessly.

Cienele trots calmly into the bar at the Halfway Inn, taking a seat and letting out a short sigh, "You have anything non-alcoholic to drink?" She asks.

The grizzled Dunmer bartender turned to the mare. "Only non-alcoholic drink we have is water, outlander. You'd have to go to Vivec or Suran to get any of the finer beverages."

"Eh, Water will do, then." She nods. "So, heard any rumours?"

The barkeep turned around, grabbing a flagon. He filled it from a strange, bone-like cask, and then placed it on the counter. "Here you go. Luckily for you, I don't believe in charging for water," he said with a small grin. "As for rumors, I have heard a few. Way I hear it, the blightstorms from Red Mountain are getting worse every day. Strange times, these are. I heard that the Imperial Legion is recruiting at Forth Moonmoth, by Balmora. I also heard that Angoril, the ranking officer here in Pelagiad was complaining about some bandits or something holed up north of here. I don't know why he hasn't just sent in his troops, but I'm sure there would be a reward if you helped him out. He spends most of his time in his office at Fort Pelagiad."

"No problem outlander."

Aldarilar stood beside Ceilene. "Having mid-day drink, are we? Find out something interesting?"
