On a more serious note, the Lunaverse writer community is tearing itself apart over the season 1 final story. Or rather, over a specific turn of it. I think that things were heated even as it was being published in chapters, and now it's even worse.

Apparently, one of the main authors says that he'll leave if it's changed, the other says he'll leave if it's not changed.

Go for something that could be used straight or ironically, then. =P No matter where the story goes, you can pretend that the title was planned for it. Which, technically, it was!

@Lunaverse
I love love love the idea of a shared universe, but the obvious problem with it is that different folks have different visions for how said universe should go, and when something momentous happens... well, people need to at least feel that they have been CONSULTED about big decisions like this, y'know? I don't know the details of this particular situation, but it sounds like this was a problem for them.

Damn it.

Spent yesterday night writing two pages of story.

Spent this night correcting phrasing and style.

And now I'm too spent to do additional writing.

Oh well. There's no urgency. But that's still annoying. I'd like to write at least two pages a day...

I guess that's something that come with training ? I hope so.

The only disagreements I'm aware of is in regards to how dark the night.court is. RDD, I think, only ever wanted it to be backstabbing on a kind of middle school level. Rumors and intreague, lies or deception, etc... but it all, at its root, being mostly (though not always) a social game. There was still heavier handed stuff like kidnapping, but nothing even close to torture or threats against the kidnapee's life. A lot of people interpretted it with having assassins, mercenaries and more serious crimes, getting your foes locked up for life, and stuff just way darker than is appropriate for a universe meant to mirror MLP. He'd have to strike down stories about ponies spited by the night court deciding to go on murdering sprees and the like, as well as generally just defending the spirit of the universe, and now no one is allowed to write about the night court.

Thanks for the compassion, but I'm privileged in that I have next to no living expenses (living with my parents), and will be touching unemployment benefits on top of that (having worked three years prior as an "apprentice").

I'm currently waiting for the result of my exams to see if I got the degree I was working for, and I'll be spending my days working out to be in shape the day I'll pass the Air Force physical tests...
