The forest remained quiet for the majority of the night, other then the noises would expect from the outdoors the area was silent.

But now as the night had reached it's darkest point heavy footfalls could be heard no more then a few feet from the groups camp.

Flash's ears flicked up and as she slowly and quietly lifted her head she listened for any sound of the footsteps getting closer.

Her ears quickly flicked around but the sound seemed to have faded completely.

The mare got to her hooves and without making a noise she opened the flap to her tent allowing the light of the camp fire to flood the space. She then trotted back to where she knew her sister was sleeping and nudged her shoulder.

Once she was sure her twin was up and looking at her she whispered. "I heard something."

Bang nodded and gathered up her rifle.

O hears the noise and tries to find what's making it. Not being able to spot it, she walks over Whisper, who has brought his sleeping bag by the fire and fell asleep, and nudges him"Doctor, some thing is around camp. Might need help."She says quietly.

He stirs and nods sleepily"Okay, I'm up."He gets out of his bag and draws out his silenced 12.7mm pistol and helps O look for whatever is causing the noise,

Iffin looks at the twins as she sees them leave. "Something up?"

Flash brought a hoof to her lips. And very quietly said "I heard footsteps."

Bang finished tying the straps for her twins machete sheath and offered the mare her shoulder.

Flash leaned on her sister. "Get your stuff." She said to Iffin.

[Aonee]

Iffin nods and quietly gets up, checking to make sure her swords and pistols were still on her before grabbing her rifle.

[Guest]

Bang leads her sister and Iffin out of the tent.

Flash leans on her sister more as she tried to point her in the direction in which she heard the sound.

As O and Whisper approach they can hear ragged breathing and snorting, A massive dark figure raises it's head from the patch of snow it was sniffing at and turns to face the pair.

The giant beast was covered in scars a familiar spear stuck deep in it's hide.

He stared at the pair for only a moment or two before letting out a ferocious roar. It raised it's paw high and smashed it into the stallion's side sending him flying into the trunk of a nearby tree. Once the stallion was dealt with the Yao guai chased after the striped mare.

[Aonee]

Hearing the bear, Iffin quickly unsheathes and activates her swords, then charges at the beast.

Whisper lays down at the base of the tree, breathing shallowly.

O lets out a curse in zebra and fires a round a shot at yao gaui, it misses. And she tries to get to the camp.

Nora hears the roar and gets out of her tent with her rifle raised.

Dante exits the tent and raises his grenade rifle, once he notices the prone stallion he switches to his pistol fires off a couple rounds, hitting in the shoulder.

The Yao guai's attention is immediately drawn to the brightly glowing blades. He roared at the griffon and brought his massive paw down on her easily knocking the weapons out of her claws.

Bang watched in shock as she saw the griffon try and take on the bear with her swords.

[Aonee]

Iffin watched her swords clatter away. "Damn. That could've gone better." Iffin takes a few steps back and draws her .50 cal, checking to make sure its loaded before shooting near point-blank at the yao guai's face.
((Quick question, are we trying to kill it or is something supposed to happen first?))

[Guest]

((No you can kill it I just thought it would be more exciting then killing it in one shot.))

[Aonee]

((Well... Eh. Shouldn't've knocked her blades away then.))

[Guest]

The bear falls over dead.

[Aonee]

Iffin picks her blades up from where they dropped and sheathes them. "Everyone okay?"

[Guest]

O shakes her head"Doctor is not okay, got hit by bear."

"Shit"She goes over to the prone stallion"Come on doc, say something."She tries to inspect his injuries.

Whisper coughs up some blood, turning the white snow crimson and continues to breath shallowly remaining unconscious.

"Shit, this isn't good."She digs into his medical kit, and injects Med-x"We're going to have to take him back to base..."

[Aonee]

"I can take him if you guys need."

[Guest]

"A-are you sure? Do you need someone to go with you?"She asks concerned.

[Aonee]

"I should be good. The hospital isn't hard to find is it?"

[Guest]

"Well no it's not, rather easy really. If your sure, you don't need help go ahead and take your dad, they'll fix'im up."

[Aonee]

Iffin sighs, nods, and puts Whisper on her back, preparing to take off.

[Guest]

"So are you just going to stand around?"

Bang's lips move.

"Bang says he was coughing up blood, that's probably not something to just stand around with."

[Aonee]

"No, I was making sure he was on right." Iffin takes off for the base.

[Guest]

Nora sighs and looks at Flash"Flash, that was uncalled for..."

[Guest]

Flash opened her mouth to argue but thought better of it.

Bang walked around to the side of the bear and pulled the spear free. She the brought it around to Nora's attention.

[Guest]

Nora looks at Flash"We can talk about it later."She says then looks at the spear."Well what do ya know, looks like Kifa fought him."She thinks"All right, we'll go back in the forest tomorrow and see if we can find anything else on were Kifa went. Then we'll get out of here."

Dante sighed"So we're staying for the night? You think that's a good idea with the doc hurt?"

"Good idea or not, we're gonna stay we have to at least try to find, Kifa."

"Of course we are."He goes back into his tent.

O goes back to watching the camp

"O, get some sleep. I'll take over from here."

O nods and goes into her tent.

Nora sits down by the fire and looks into the forest.

[Aonee]

"Hey, Illis, he'll be fine till I get back, right?"
"Well, I don't have much experience trying to keep an equine alive-"
"Hah hah. Very funny."
"But, by my estimates he should stay stable for at least another 24 hours."

[Guest]

Bang and Flash approached the fire,

Flash did her best to look away from Nora,

While Bang just sat staring at the campfire.

"So, you're mad at me Ma?" She said sarcastically.

[Guest]

Nora sighs"No, I'm not mad, Flash. Just sometimes, be careful of what you say to people. Especially after their father gets hurt."

Whisper coughs again, a little blood coming out as he does so then goes back to breathing shallowly.

[Guest]

"I wouldn't have said anything if she acted like she cared." Flash muttered.
