Nidal drew a circle on the stone and tapped it. The rocks gave way and opened up to the surface world. They were a lot further down than they started.
"That's what we do."

[Octavia]

The new hole created by Nidal lead to a sheer cliff that dropped about 30 feet back into the forest.

"Fancy magic, nicely done. But I can't help but think that perhaps this isn't the best way out. I can't walk away from a 30 foot drop into a tree."

The Hydra came upon the four guards that were sent down it's cave. They didn't last more than 10 seconds, as the Hydra quickly cooked three of them and ate the fourth whole, armor and all. It then continued to rage on to the surface. One shouldn't bother a Hydra in a peaceful sleep, or ever really.

[Linguz]

Nidal looked down and whistled. She looked up and shrugged.
"Guess there's only one way down."
She drew another circle on the cave wall and the floor and tapped them both. The rock there transmuted itself into a staircase. The tunnel behind them sealed up as the rock shifted there.

[Octavia]

Arvena looked down the new stair case.
"That will work. I'm quite astounded at how much energy you can exert after just a short time resting and with only one book worth of knowledge. If you studied more, you could definitely become one of the greatest alchemists around."
She put out the torch with a little blast of magic on her palm. She smiled as Arvena realized her basic magic had been released from the Mage's Bane. She started down the stairs.

The sun was now just starting to climb over the distant horizon, though it was shrouded by the clouds that continued to storm down upon the group. The winds continued to blow, taking the storm away from the area. In about an hour the sky would be clear.

[Linguz]

Nidal chuckled.
"When you're running for your life, adrenaline will give you energy. We have to get as far from here as fast as possible."

Malfure tapped his staff on the ground and smiled.
"So you are in fact you and now you're outside."
He began to run towards the top of the valley that Nidal was in.

[Octavia]

The Hydra continued to rampage through the area, killing any guard that came into it's path. None lasted so long as a minute, as the beast scorched and tore the guards in half.

The path that Arngeirr chose started a slow decline until it lead to a shoddy door at the end. Outside the door, the small forested valley sat in the end of the storm.

[Linguz]

Malfure saw the hydra break through the ground in front of him as it hit a thin spot in the roof. He continued to walk forward as if it hadn't appeared.
(Should we use the dice for this fight or not?)

[Octavia]

(If you want to use dice, go ahead. I was planning on getting a math system down for the chances, but I procrastinated till monday then i got a crap ton of homework. You can make the chances if you want, but I'll be getting the system out soon XD. I will also be making a basic stat system with strength, agility, intelligence, and some others that will effect your chances with certain tasks.)

[Linguz]

(Well, screw it then. The chances of him losing are near 0 due to the philosopher's stone.)

The hydra blasted flames at Malfure. He stood in them, the philosopher's stone healing him every instant. When the hydra was depleted, it stood confused for a moment. In that moment, he leapt at it and attached alchemic circles to each of the necks using his staff. When he was done, he slashed the air with the staff and all the circles blew up, killing the hydra. It dropped The Most Magnificent Sword +∞, a unique sword which is said to be able to kill all the gods by licking the blade and can only be picked up by the party that killed the monster carrying it. He left it there and continued to walk forward towards Nidal's group.

Arngeirr reached the end of the tunnel and went through the door. He changed back to his original form, the he grabbed his small blanket (What he uses to sleep on) and wrapped it around his body. He look out into the small valley, searching for the dryest route out. Finally he found a good route and began sprinting through the rain.

[Octavia]

(lul wut?)

Malfure's explosions ripped through the air and ricocheted down the cliff to the group.

Arvena was reaching the bottom of the steps when the sound hit them. She looked over her shoulder nervously then continued into the forest.

[Linguz]

(Yep. He just left the strongest and rarest sword in the dirt. Deal with it.)

Nidal walked faster through the forest.
"Yep. That's him. Always over exaggerating his attacks into something that can be heard from far away. If he catches us, we'll most likely be dead."

Malfure arrived at the edge of the cliff and jumped down. His legs broke as he absorbed the blow from landing, his philosopher's stone fixed them. He got up and continued to walk directly towards Nidal.

[Octavia]

Arvena started to panic as she increased speed to keep up with Nidal.
"What? Who could possibly want us dead that has that much power. I don't have any enemies."

(BTW, too lazy to type for Roshougon. Lets just assume that he's following along silently. Gotta kill him off soon. Tempest's character the same deal, except less killing.)

[Linguz]

(You want Roshougon's character dead? Get him hit by this post.)

A bright light behind them lit them up. Nidal's eyes widened and she grabbed Arvena and Tempest as she jumped sideways, pulling them to follow her. The ground spiked upwards. Visual in spoiler, just remove all the dust and flames and change the spikes to rocks.

"That's who wants me dead!"
She sprinted away.

Malfure began to chase her.

[Octavia]

(*Clap clap clap*)

"The fuck?!"
Arvena stumbled along as she was dragged by Nidal. She regained her footing and started sprinting.

[Linguz]

Malfure tried the same attack on them.
Nidal turned around, tapped her gauntlet, hit the ground, and continued to run.
The attack hit the area that Nidal had hit and exploded.
"So you've learned how to activate other alchemist's attacks? Try it with this!"
He slammed the staff down, a huge alchemic circle appeared that passed Nidal and Arvena.
Nidal took out a small pendant from her pocket and smashed it against the ground. A small alchemic circle appeared where it broke and became layered with more so that it completely enveloped the small group. The circles flashed once more, and they disappeared.
Malfure grit his teeth.
"So you had one last trick up your sleeve."

The group appeared several miles to the east. Nidal sat down and hugged her knees when she landed.

[Octavia]

The teleportation spell landed the group (Excluding Arngeirr who bailed on us and Roshougons character who is now dead) within two miles of Rigathal, the trading hub of the nation.

Arvena was stunned. She hadn't been expecting a teleportation spell, and the sudden change in scenery and sensory input made her head spin. She fell on the ground and lay for several minutes before being able to speak.
"We could have teleported into a tree you know."

[AbstergoTempest]

Theradus was in a state of shock. He never experienced magic like that and as a result of the teleportation, threw up on a tree.

"Bloody hell mate, I could have died from that for all you know."

He then stumbled around trying to find his balance while trying to stop his head from throbbing in pain.

[Linguz]

Nidal looked at both of them. Her eyes were drained of all color. (I'm saying eye color of magic users dull as their energy depletes. It is not a linear line and until you are nearly empty, the eye color barely changes.)
"Would you two prefer to have stayed with Malfure?"

[AbstergoTempest]

"Listen mate, I do enjoy my life as much as you do yours, but at least warn me before doing that kind of stuff. I dont care if its a dragon or your psycopath back there, just, a word of caution before doing so. Ok?"

[Octavia]

"Well... no. How do you know with Malfure anyway? That's obviously not someone you just met in a tavern."
Arvena massaged her head and leaned against a tree, still trying to re orientate her mind.

[Linguz]

The skyline a few miles west of the lit up and a sand dragon reared its head and roared before disassembling and raining its components back to the ground. .
Nidal looked at Theradus.
"How about both Malfure AND a dragon? If that thing appeared before I got my spell off, we would've lost balance as the sand, dirt, and everything else below us merged into it."
She turned to looked at Arvena.
"He's my brother. You want the long story or the short one?"

[Octavia]

Arvena stood up and regained her balance.
"How 'bout the long one as we make our way to the city."

[Linguz]

Nidal began.
"My village, Viaefut, has a very strange tradition. At the age of 12, all children are sent off after learning how to survive and fight. A family generally has only two or three kids. When two of the kids are out, they begin to hunt each other. The last of all of them to be alive, wins and takes control of the household. He or she must bring a wife or husband back to the house that knows how the tradition works and is perfectly fine with it. My brother, Malfure, is the eldest of the three in my family. The middle child has already been killed - when one of us dies, a signal is sent back to our household and then sent to each of the living siblings so they know. Malfure and I are the only ones still alive, and he wants control of the house and to live so he is chasing me down as you saw. The reason he was able to summon that dragon is because of his philosopher's stone. The moment he left at the age of 12, he went to the neighboring country and wiped out multiple towns to gather enough souls to make it. Needless to say, he is ruthless. Any further questions?"

[Albert C. Shadowfax]

Arngeirr had ran a good 5 miles before he finnaly found a road, on the side there was a sigh saying "Rigathal, 7 miles".

*Rigathel, been awhile since I've been there. I heard rumors of the thieves guild having a place there, maybe I could work for the*

He shrugged and started a steady jog, luckily he had finally gotten out of the rain.

[Octavia]

Arvena continued walking on the path in silence for a few moments, thinking.
"Yes. How is it that one covers up entire villages disappearing for the making of a philosophers stone? And how in the hell do we compete with such power?"

[Linguz]

Nidal looked at her skeptically.
"Do I have to know what my brother did while I was training?"

[Octavia]

Arvena sighed.
"No, no you don't"

The group continued to travel another thirty minutes or so before they found themselves inside the trade city of Rigathel. Various venders shouted and sold random items to the streets filled with people. It was the busy morning hours, and the stores had only just opened.

"I don't know about you two, but I'm going to go visit the College's branch here and report back to the professors."
Arvena started to wander off towards the larger, and richer part of the city.
"Feel free to come if you want. I could probably set you up with somewhere to sleep for the night. Considering how many times I've been near death and you two have saved my ass, you deserve it."

[Linguz]

Nidal chuckled.
"All of the near death situations you've been in, I got you in them. You'd still be sitting in jail if not for me after all. I'll take your offer regardless."
She followed Arvena.
"Who knows. Maybe they'll have a spell that interests me."

[Albert C. Shadowfax]

Arngeirr had to ask around a bit, but finally someone directed him to a large tavarn called 'The drunken Boar'. When he walked inside the smell of beer, smoke, and sweaty men hit him head on. He searched the faces of the sitting patrons, look for the man everyone calls Drake. Finally he spots him sitting in the back of the room playing a game of cards, and was wining by the looks of it.

Drake is the thieves guild leader in the city of Rigathel, he also is a rich merchant and is one of the jarls thanes. Becouse of his age, he dosn't do very many hiests anymore. Even though he is a thief, he believes in loyalty and honor among thieves.

Drake comes from a long line of merchants, but found he was better suited for other occupations. For four years he worked for the guild, rising it up to a golden age of thievery. Then at the age of 34 he was elected head of the guild after the death of their older leader, who got cheating at a 'Friendly' game of
cards.


Arngeir walked up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder.
"I'm a man looking for work, heard you can help?"

Drake didn't even look up from his game.
"I don't know what your talking about kid, now leave."

"Maybe you missed understood me, I'm trained in what I do and I'm the best around."
