"A valid question. I'm sure you know that people with our... special gifts are shunned and exiled by society as a whole. We can provide a place to live where you don't have to be ashamed of the powers you posses. Many of us in the Red Hand wish to bring about a new era, a time where the beings of this land won't ever again fight, kill, or go hungry. A place where no one is treated as trash and thrown of their homes for having a power that others can not understand. A truly marvelous world, something that can be accomplished with the power that the Lord Valefar has promised, and granted to me. By the end of the week, Valefar shall be bound to me completely, and we will be one unstoppable force. The Red Hand will bring justice to the world! And if you're not with us, you're against us. And that means you must die."
The Old Mans voice softened.
"I promise you a better world, incredible power, and wealth and I can deliver. All we ask in return is that you do your part and help us defeat our enemies."


Arvena wandered the rooms collecting the few torches that remained on the walls, any of the torches that she could stumble upon on the charred ground.
"There's nothing more to be had down here, but we now know that the place is safe to sleep in. And these torches should do well for lighting until the Mage;s Bane wears off. Lets return to the others up top."
Arvena turned on her heels and started back up towards the surface, this Khajiit not far behind her.

Righel laughed. "I'm not ashamed to be a demonbound! why should I be? Few have powers like me... us. Sure, people recoil when they find out. Sure, some try to kill me, but that mistake is generally only made once. Don't you find it fun, to see people's faces when they find out you're about to kill them with a power they thought was a myth? Isn't it great to laugh in the face of a guard when their usual anti-magic devices don't work? Being demonbound in such an ignorant world is great."

He scratched his head. "although, a world controlled by demonbound does sound interesting." he paused. "but tell me, how exactly do you plan to bind a god to yourself? There's a reason he hasn't been seen in the mortal world for thousands of years."

*first they try to kill him, now they're recruiting him? And the name 'Red Hand', I'm positive I've heard of them! But where?*

Arngeirr searched his head for answers, he could almost hear a distance voice saying that name, but who? And why?
*maybe I should confront them and ask them?... No I'll probley get killed.*

[Octavia]

The Old Man blinked and his eyes suddenly burned red. His smile grew wider.
"You hear that Audhild? This is just the man we've been looking for!"

The woman smiled under her hood.
"Yes lord Valefar, this is one could be of much use to us, especially since he's more willing to kill than the others."

"The man who owns this body definitely cannot hold back a demon of my power. It's only because of my weakened state that he holds this much control, though that should be broken by the end of the week. My child, I offer you more power than you can imagine. All I ask from you in return is some amusement. I grow awfully bored floating around the void and playing in other dimensions, so I've decided to play with the mortal realm for a while. Now, I hope you will excuse me now, but I've got some chaos to bring to back to life. Consider my offer, and travel north to my shrine in Dragonmound. There I may speak freely and show you the full extent of demon's power. Audhild, Drauchen! Lets go."
All three reached up to the back of their necks and activated identical tattoos of phoenixes. Instantly, the air began to warp and shake.
"Again, please excuse me, but I've waited several thousand years for this chance. I'm not going to sit and wait another minute for you to answer. Oh, and try not to kill those in the cavern, it's the least I can do for them, as they did help me out of the jail. It's fitting that they should see the world fall apart due to their actions."


(Excuse the stupid amount of time it took me to get this post up. I decided a lot of things story wise in the making of this post and had to split up my thought process over the course of an hour as I did various chores and homework. I'm off to bed now, see ya all tommorow.)

This time, Righel managed to hide his surprise. <I>This idiot actually tried to bind Valefar? Even if the god was weakened, that's just insane... But the fact that his body is still mostly intact is pretty amazing. Maybe he did know what he was doing...</I>

Righel looked at the old man curiously. "well, I wouldn't want to keep you from doing your godly things, so suffice it to say I'm with you, and am <I>very</I> interested in where this ends up." he smiled. "and I promise I'll only mess with them a little."

[Octavia]

The Old Man/Valefar laughed.
"I think you'll find everything you'll need at dragonmound."

At this point, the light cast off the three figures was too distorted to recognize, and light exploded off the group as they disappeared. The area slowly returned to normal.


Valefar, Audhild and Drauchen all suddenly exploded into existence in a ancient ruin, somewhere deep under the earth. Valefar instantly made a move towards an alter, where he started flipping through an ancient tome. The demon laughed.
"Children, you are witnessing the beginning of the end."
Somewhere deep in the gigantic pit in front of the demon, a being of monstrous strength opened its eyes and roared.

[Linguz]

Nidal looked around the corner to the mouth of the cave and noticed the old man was gone. She hit the wall with her fist, activating the circle and shattering a large portion of the wall.
"DAMN HIM! WHERE'S MY MONEY!? I should've known the deal was too good to be true..."
She got up and went deeper into the cave to Arvena.
"Have you finished here?"

[Octavia]

"Yes, of course. Just had to cook a few bandits to clear the area, so it should be completely safe to rest here."
The smile fell off of Arvena's face as she saw Nidal's expression.
"What happened now?"

[AbstergoTempest]

Theradus was not aware of anything that happened outside the cave. He was aware that soemthing was wrong.

"Nidal,You look horrible. What was going on outside? Where's the old man?"

[Linguz]

"He's gone. We shouldn't rest here. There's another stranger outside that was talking to them."
Nidal walked to a tunnel leading out of the main passage.
"We'll take one of these to the end then get out."

Malfure and the guards reached the chamber under the shack. The guards looked at all the walls.
"There's no way out!"
Malfure pointed up at the hole in the ceiling then the ladder that had been thrown on the ground (by Nidal when they were all up).
"Piece it together. You guards are all the same: can't think, only act."

[Octavia]

"They? Who are they? How do we know that's not a dead end?"

"Perhaps we'd be better off fighting."

[Linguz]

"I don't know either question. I heard more than two voices so I know there was multiple people. I do know if it's a dead end, I'll make an exit. And I don't know about you, but with me and Arvena weakened, I'd rather not try to fight an enemy of unknown power. Follow me or get left behind."
Nidal entered the tunnel and walked through it.

[Octavia]

Arvena and Khaj'darrak followed Nidal without anymore questions.

[AbstergoTempest]

Theradus followed Nidal with thoughts lingering in his mind.

"Who was the old man? What is she not telling us? Can I keep trusting her?"

He then looked into his leather tunic and found his amulet with the crest of a silver wolf on it, hidden in a pouch made in his tunic.

"I just have to keep my ground. I'll tell them....one day..."

Arngeirr was still working out what was going on when he started seeing guards emerging from the small shack. He was going to run away when he rembered the rain, so he retreated into the cave as fast as possable. Final he found nidal and the others.

"city guards! They followed us through the tunnel somehow! They're coming!"

[Linguz]

Nidal looked at him.
"That's not possible. I made sure to seal the entrance with alchemy. Unless... FUCK! We have to get going and get out of here. Now.
She began to sprint down the tunnel.

[Albert C. Shadowfax]

"screw that, I'm not going in the rain!!!"
"Besides, it would be easyer to ambush them then runnig right at them.

[Linguz]

(Albert, we're sprinting down a different tunnel.)

[Octavia]

Arvena and Khaj'darrak took off sprinting after Nidal, Arvena nearly tripping multiple times.

"What is it that you know that we don't?"

Arvena would have thanked the khajiit for asking her own question if she wasn't having trouble keeping up.
Damn it, I'm a mage, not an athlete.

[Linguz]

"There's only one way that the guards would have been able to bypass my seal and that's that another alchemist, one stronger than me, is helping them. I have a suspicion of who it is, and if I'm correct, we have no chance against him."

[Albert C. Shadowfax]

"depends on how you fight him, we have two assassins here. So you guys make a distraction, then me and khaj'darrak come in from behind and stab him in the back, the other Mage/alchemist.. Whatever."
Arngeirr planed as he ran behind the others.

[Linguz]

Nidal shook her head.
"It won't work if it's him. Even if you blow a limb off that guy, he'll come back."

Righel began walking towards town, thinking hard. dragonmound... I know that name. It's an old legend, a place of untold demonic powers, far north in the mountains. He smiled grimly. Ive always wanted to go there. I never had the chance before my family was banished from the northern clans.

He heard a sound behind him. He quickly hid behind a tree and peered around the side to see a group of guards. They hadn't seen him, so he stayed still until they had left. He ran back to town and snuck in the backdoor of the inn he was staying in. He walked out, making sure he was seen by the owner and headed for the library. that should give me somewhat of an alibi, just in case. if he were investigated, his story would fall apart easily, but he could be long gone by then.

He found a large map in the library and began looking over the northern mountain ranges. When he found the Marrowak Spine (fuck yeah pokemon references in Morrowind), he looked closely at the tiny writing. ah, there it is. Siren's Peak. Named after the screams you can sometimes hear at night near the mountain, especially during new moons. Siren's peak was the common name for Dragonmound or perhaps it's real name is Siren's peak, and we just call it Dragonmound. Whatever. he plotted out a route that would take him through several towns.

He spent the rest of the day gathering travel supplies, planning to leave the following day.

(so we're running from the guards in the cave right? I have bad memory)

Arngeirr was still following the others down the tunnel, but started having second thoughts.

*Why am I still here? I could ditch these guys and leave, well it may still be raining...."

[Octavia]

The group continued to sprint through the tunnel for another two minutes before they arrived at a junction, where the cave split off into two separate paths.

"Which way now?"
Arvena gasped as she caught up with the back of the group.

(Yes, each path has a different event to this part of the story. So choose wisely based on completely no information.)


Somewhere deeper in the cave, a being stirred. One that had slept for just over two decades and hadn't been disturbed - until now. The explosions in the area had disturbed its slumber. One pair of green eyes popped open and refocused in the dark. This was followed by another, and another, and another until a total of seven pairs of eyes stared through the darkness. The being breathed a hiss of fire. It was pissed.

[Linguz]

Nidal looked down both sides of the path and took out her stick of chalk. She drew a circle on the ground and tapped it with her finger. The rock transmuted so there was an arrow with a rock piercing it, holding it in place but letting it turn. She hit the arrow hard and waited for it to stop turning.

The arrow stopped and pointed to the right path. Nidal broke the arrow and began to walk in that direction.

The guards reached the large chamber in the cave. There were 5 different pathways to take that wouldn't take them back. They split off into 5 groups of 4 each, 2 guards from the prison and 2 guards from the prison caravan (the one that was taking the old man).

Malfure stood at the mouth of the cave and began to walk around it.
"Now, where will you pop out of?"

Arngeirr looked to the left tunnel, then the right.
*now's a good time to leave these guys behind*
He began a steady jog down the left tunnel, he altered his appearance to look like the guard from the jail, just in case.

[Octavia]

The group ran down the right path, the light of Arvena's torch reflecting off the walls from behind most of the group. As the tunnel expanded, part of the wall changed slightly to a different texture, then changed back about 20 feet further down. As Arvena passed the end of the funny wall, it shifted. She turned and gasped as seven heads snaked around behind the group.
"Fuck guys, problem."
Arvena turned to start running again.
"Lernean Hydra!"

The two of the Hydra's heads burned flames where Arvena just had been. It started to move it's four limbs, and started to follow the ex-convicts.

"Correction: Lernean Pyro Hydro, RUN FASTER!"

The Hydra roared out in anger, its voice carrying through the tunnels.

[Linguz]

Nidal sprinted, touching her circles and the walls whenever possible to slow down the hydra, making the rock stretch out above them so that the group could still pass under.
"Not good. Not good. Not good."

[Octavia]

The Hydra caught up to the area where the stone ceiling now blocked its path. It started to pound on the stone with it's head, but to no avail. It instead turned and started to make its way towards the entrance in hopes of finding some easy prey to release it's rage upon.

The group came to a dead end not much further down the tunnel. The area was strewn with various skeletons of different shapes and sizes from beings the were consumed years ago. It did not make for good decoration.

Arvena came to a stop, gasping.
