Seriously. I work 39 hours per week but due to this, it means I get one day a week where I leave an hour earlier than normal. (8 working hours*5 working days P/W=40, but 39 on contract).
Anyway, I informed my boss about the no early day on the schedule, as it's known as, and he said we'd play it by ear and see how it goes, maybe I could have it today.

Well, come 3pm, everything was done for the day. I'd worked everything that needed it and there was nothing but menial jobs like tidying up small things and grabbing empty cardboard off shelves, so I decided to say fuck it and go home.
Swiped out, went to grab some shopping and saw my boss.

"Oh, yeah, I'm going home now. I know I hadn't bothered to confirm with you, but everything is done and you've still got another two guys around for an hour as well as the others, so yeah, I didn't see a point in hanging around. Like I say, everything is done, so... yeah. Seeya!"


Haha. I mean, that makes it sound so much less badass and in truth, it wasn't all that badass at all but it's still the idea of it. Telling my boss when I will / won't finish and such.
Thing is he's a cool guy and he's not worried or upset, plus I'm always swapping shifts to help him or other people and I'm a very good worker as stated by many people, so a little cheek like this from time to time is funny.

Random. I've had an idea for an, I think, possibly interesting alternate history: the 1969 Sino-Soviet border conflict did not fizzle out, instead blossoming into a full-scale (conventional) war, and the USSR, to insure victory, strikes a deal with the Republic of China that they can have the southern half of the mainland back if they'll bring NATO in on the Soviet side.

So I'm gonna add the Crystal Empire as a playable entity now. Or rather, a twisted version of it. There's several (five now) castes of tainted crystal ponies with skills distributed between them, as per their role in the Empire. They have crystalline skeletal structure, color coding and telekinetic graspers attached to front hooves. And there's also a rare and powerful caste which, assumingly, controls everything.

Although, as DF caste mechanics are rudimentary as of this version, they'll be arriving as potash makers like everyone else.

I'll also have to work on physical and mental attributes for each caste.

Also, I'll add large roaming creatures with the same tissue layer plans, so that even while playing as the Empire you can make things out of living crystals (which are made from crystalline bones/hooves/carapaces/etc).

I know you didn't ask for my opinion, but yes. Yes it would.

Glad you both agree, because it's already in there. The intention is to make a really nice soothing scene with some character interaction that isn't necessarily required in the story but makes for a nice little slice of life type touch. Fleshing out the characters and making them feel more real and personal is something I want to focus on, this seemed like a nice way to do so.
And of course I'm happy to have your opinion, Ketch. I just didn't see you posting was all. You probably were and it was probably just me not looking.
