Clocks cheeks flared bright red, "Wow, uh, jeez... but... I can if you want, but... would that really be such a good idea?"

[Katarn]

"Sorry...Like I've said...Sometimes, more often quite recently, I say then think. I'll...figure out what and how to do it...I guess." Novae sighed. "Any useful hint though?"

[Tytan]

"Well, uh... Two things I guess. Make sure you keep it clean and if it feels good you're probably doing it right."

[Katarn]

"Right. clean and feel good. Got it."

"I better go and...um...conduct scientific experiment."
"Thanks for...um...enlightenment and advices, Clock."

[Tytan]

"Okay, uh, you're welcome. If you have any other problems you can come to me."

[Scyto Harmony]

Mince wanders around, aimlessly, looking bored.

Turning into the hall, he bumbs into Clock. "Wha-? Oh, Hey Clock, what are you doing out here?"

Clock quickly regains her composure, "I was having a chat with Novae. Did you need something too? It kinda seems like I'm giving everyone I know advice today."

[Scyto Harmony]

"Well you're certainly good at it." He nods, "Nah, I don't need anything. I'm just a bit tense, trying to wander around to wave off this intense boredom of just... waiting."

[Tytan]

"I know how you feel. I think we're all collectively coming off an adrenaline high."

[Scyto Harmony]

"Coming down off of any high sucks, so you're probably right." He sighs, "Listen, I know you're probably tired of ponies coming to you with their problems, but can I ask you something on a level?"

[Tytan]

"Not like I'm doing anything else. Shoot."

[Scyto Harmony]

"Am I a bad pony? I don't mean in the conventional sense - but I mean... I miss my wife, I truly do, but deep inside I really just want to give up trying to find her. There's no way it could end well, and I just..." He clutches his head, "Argh, this is so stupid! Why am I even telling you all this!"

[Tytan]

"Maybe because I have a very trustable face? You aren't a bad pony. If you were you would have given up a long time ago. You're just reaching your wall. You haven't given up hope yet."

[Scyto Harmony]

"But I want to! I desperately want to move on, maybe even find somepony else to be with. It's been a very... lonely, 4 years."

[Tytan]

"And yet you haven't. Four years is a long time to be away from your family, I'm not denying that, but you still want her back. Like I said, you're hitting your wall. Once you break past it you'll find your second wind."

[Scyto Harmony]

"I suppose. But... I don't mean to bring up a sore topic... what if she doesn't love me anymore? What if it's like with you and..."

[Tytan]

Clock's voice takes on a sharp edge of hostility which isn't directed at Mince, "Charcoal dumped me. He dumped me because by some cosmic fluke he found his childhood crush. I seriously doubt that that's what happened to your wife. If I understand what happened correctly she's probably been tearing herself apart with guilt since the day she was taken."

[Scyto Harmony]

"S-sorry, Clock, I didn't mean to upset you."

"Let's... change the subject. You're always helping ponies - how about I return the favour? Against contrary belief, I'm a good listener."

[Tytan]

"I'm sorry, I just... you were right. It's still a sore subject."

"Thank you for the offer though, but I don't really know anyone here well enough to talk about the things I should talk about. The one I did was Charcoal, and now I regret it."

[Scyto Harmony]

"I know it sounds odd, but I am a husband and father. I know how to listen to most problems. Just... give it a go. If you don't think it's working, I cross my heart I'll stop asking. But I really do think you deserve help - you're one of the most wonderful ponies I know and I hate to see you hurting inside."

[Tytan]

Clock deflated and sunk back onto her haunches. A few tears built up in the corners of her eyes, "Okay... But please understand, I'm telling you in the strictest confidence and only because you're a father. I don't want anyone else to find out about this. Besides you only three other people know about this, and Vik is one of them."

She gritted her teeth and couldn't force herself to look him in the eye so she shut them, "My daughter is dead."

[Scyto Harmony]

"...what?" He half-whispers, "Oh Gods, Oh Clock I'm sorry." He sits down next to her, "What happened?"

[Tytan]

Clock pulled away slightly and turned her head so he couldn't see her tears, "She never lived. Stillborn."

[Scyto Harmony]

"Oh hun..." He sighs, "Life really kicked you down there, huh? Listen, I'm no expert on life, but it's not your fault."

[Tytan]

Clocks voice took on that edge of hostility again, "How can it not be!"

[Scyto Harmony]

"First off, If we were responsible for the deaths of those we love, almost everyone would be a murderer. Second, It was a fluk. I don't know as much about biology as you probably do, but the only thing determining life or death for a foal can be the slightest chemical imbalance, the wrong gene, anything. Tell me Clock - do you control your whole body? Did you control the foal's growth in you? No. And you certainly didn't control that child's death."

[Tytan]

Clocks chest was heaving with sobs, "Before I knew I was pregnant I was an alcoholic and I slept with any halfway decent looking guy. You could have called me a slut and you wouldn't have been wrong. I don't know if it was something I did. I can't know. But I just know it was! Maybe I took something when I blacked out, maybe all that alcohol damaged me, maybe I got myself exposed to taint somehow. I. Don't. KNOW."

[Scyto Harmony]

"Did you know you were going to get pregnant? Did you know what you were doing? You were going through a hard time in life, you made bad decisions, it happens. But nothing is going to change that. You're right - you don't know, and even if you use memory spells to look at yourself during that time, you still can't see exactly what it is that killed her. It doesn't matter, because you're a good pony now. You do good things, help good people, have good friends. And you would never, EVER have wished any harm on that foal. The fact that you face agony at the thought every day just shows it. Wherever our spirits go when we die, I know that your foal is looking down at you. And she is PROUD, Clock. Proud to have a mother who is so wonderful, so caring and kind."

[Tytan]

"I got cleaned up during the pregnancy. And because I was an irresponsible brat I not only accidentally brought a life into this world, I ended it. There's a special circle in hell for ponies that kill foals. One where we're forced to watch them grow up happy, healthy, and... and without us."
