"I'd like to think so," Charcoal said as he lay there on his back with Dinner Bell curled up on his chest.

Mirabelle crawled on the bed beside Charcoal and wiggled her nose against the filly's. "Thanks for doing that Char."

"Well, I had to learn sometime right? It wouldn't be fair for you to have to do it all the time," Charcoal said with a smirk.

Flea was too busy hugging her new friend to notice the exchange between the two adults.

"I don't mind it," she told him with a smile. "It's part of my job as a Mom after all. Still, I wouldn't mind you doing it sometimes."

Clock nods and looks back to Flea. Seeing the little filly snuggling the toy was making her heart melt. She tentatively reached out and stroked her mane.

Shadow looks at Flea and smiles under his mask then looks at Clock "Hey, doc. Ya think could teach her telekinesis? Ah would but uh, ah can't do it either."

Flea jumped a little at the sudden contact but she let Clock continue some of the reservations she had about the mare fading away.

"Well, whenever you need a break you can always ask me Miri," Charcoal said with a smile. "We..." Charcoal stopped, having thought better of it.

Mira looked up to him with a grin. "What?"

Clock continued stroking Fleas mane while she looked up at Shadow, "Uh, sure. I could try. I mean... I've never taught anyone magic before."

"Nothing...it's stupid. I just...I wanted you to know that I'll help you with...raising her," Charcoal said quietly. "I...I mean...if you want. I...I am your friend after all."

"Neither have ah, but ah don't think it'll be too bad. Flea's a smart little filly."He looks at the filly"Ain't that right, hun?"

"W-well, there's a first time for everything." Eve says, tapping her hooves together.

"Char, you don't have to do that," she told him softly. "But if you really want to, I wouldn't complain."
Dinner Bell sneezed.
"And I think she'd like it too."

Flea smiled at the compliment and gave a little nod.

Clock smiles again, "Well, I can't argue with that."

"I want to Miri. Dinner Bell here is the cutest foal in Equestria, how could I not?" Charcoal said with a smile.

"Thanks." She leaned up and nuzzled him softly before looking back to her filly.

"Well, then ah guess we can start whenever she's ready then."He looks at Flea and his tendril make a smile over his mask.

Cherry smiles"Sounds like a plan."

Shadow's stomach growls,"Heh, oops."

She rolls her eyes and gives Shadow a can of peaches and a bag of carrot chips"Here, darlin'."

"Thanks."He looks at Flea"Ya hungry?"

"It' not going to huwt?" Flea asked the fear returning to her voice the memories of how their last lesson had ended still fresh in her mind. The filly stuck out her tongue at the peaches.

((Jayne, Novae, Quiver - 20 hours later - Near Stable 16))

"So, what do you want to do today Miri?" Charcoal asked after a few minutes of silence.

"I don't care, whatever you want, Char."

Quiver leads them to a landing.
"Alright... Stable 16 isn't much farther. I'll go and take a look, you two stay here."
Quiver takes off again and does a discreet orbit around the Stable entrance cave, looking for anything out of the ordinary.

"Um...want to go for a walk?" Charcoal asked.

"Um, ah don't think so sweetpea."He shrugs, he then pulls down mask as he starts to eat the peaches

"Sweetie, ya sure ya ain't hungry?"She takes out a can of biscuits and a snack cake.

Jayne happy finally rest a little. "That...kid....stronger, than..he looks..."

Novae stretches. "Everyone he know is in danger, of course he will gie it all to save them."

"Unless it's too late."
