Charcoal falls back to the ground. "I...they already are..."

Clock tenderly feels his legs and confirms their state. "You're gonna have to forgive me for this." (Medicine 50 D100 38) Clock sets the breaks manually.

Charcoal yells in pain.

[Ironmonger]

Cast Iron turns his head to the yelling, but upon seeing what is happening he just shrugs and goes back to staring off in the distance.

[Tytan]

"Sorry Hun, but I'm not quite done yet." Clock takes out her medical bag and moves to the bodies. (Medicine 50 D100 30) Clock starts removing femurs and tibias from Zebra bodies.

Quiver's face drains of color as Clock begins her work.

"I assume you are making a... splint of some kind. Do you want help?"
He asks weakly.

[Ironmonger]

Cast turns back around to the scene upon hearing odd noises. He looks unimpressed. "...I have seen vorse. Much worse." he says to no one in particular.

[Tytan]

Clock pulls a femur out with a wet *Schlop*. Her voice is heavy with sarcasm with a hint of disgust, "Nope I'm just one sick doctor." Clock continues her grim work until she has enough.

She returns to Charcoal with a pile of fairly bloody bones. "Sorry, but I haven't got anything else." Clock starts duct taping bones around the breaks.

Clock finishes her gruesome creation, and moves on to Viktor. His is fashioned considerably quick.

Oh Goddess, I'm getting better at this.

Clock returns to Charcoal and helps him to his hooves, "Better?"

[XT Vengeance]

"Yes...thanks," he says quietly. Charcoal struggles to walk off, still wincing with his steps.

[Tytan]

"Just take it easy. We'll get you some help when we get to town."

[XT Vengeance]

"Next time...bring stimpacks," Charcoal says, trying to make light of the situation.

[Tytan]

"Next time, don't jump on grenades."

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal gets a hurt look on his face and continues to walk on silently.

[Tytan]

Clock bumps her flank against his, "Thank you... for saving us."

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal grunts in pain at the bump, and moves away. He continues to walk silently.

[Tytan]

Clock looks a little embarrassed, "Oops. Sorry."

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal continues to walk silently, trying desperately to ignore the pain. He is too busy yelling at himself internally to even hear what Clock said.

[Tytan]

When Charcoal doesn't respond Clock assumes she hurt his feelings and continues in silence.

((Group TS : 8 hours later))

The group arrived at Dirtside in the middle of the night. Very little can be seen, but one thing is clear; the town appears completely abandoned. No shadows are moving between buildings or in windows, no whispers cheers from the bar fill the night. Only the sound of doors banging on warped frames fills the night around the silent village.

[Ironmonger]

"...Eerie." He mutters.

[Ketchup]

Quiver looks on warily.
"This looks like a great place to get ambushed."

[XT Vengeance]

[Perception 10 (3+5)]Scorch searches for hostile contacts.

[CamoBadger]

As Scorch flies over, there is nothing moving in the town. It appears completely devoid of life.

[XT Vengeance]

Scorch lands near Charcoal and squawks at him.

"He says it is clear." Charcoal walks slowly into town. Charcoal enters one of the shacks. [perception 7 (5+2)] Charcoal checks the shack for anything that might contain something of value.

The walls and floor of the shack are completely bare with the exception of a shattered box and a blood-stained mattress.

[Ironmonger]

Cast Iron walks into a different shack and looks around. (perception 5)

[XT Vengeance]

"Everyone search the other buildings," Charcoal calls outside. He sits down on the floor, exhausted from the pain of walking eight hours with broken legs.

[CamoBadger]

The shack is trashed with scraps of paper and empty bottles covering the floor as well as a red and grey-speckled stain across the back wall.

[Orm]

Searchlight knocks on one of the doors of a shack before entering it. He looks through the shack for anything that might give him a clue as to what happened.
