Cast Iron continues singing as he examines the walls of the camp for anything unusual.

A warm feeling of determination fills his heart, driving him onward. His voice becomes more solid, not caring who hears him, only the job at hoof being of any importance.

"Wie weit der Marsch auch immer sei
Wir finden bald die Schlacht
Entschlossen, stets zum kampf bereit
Im Angriff Tag und Nacht
Das Gewehr fest gefaßt und verwegen
Die feindiche Stellung gestürmt!

Cherry sighs"Clock, ya just gotta find a way ta move on. Ya just gotta keep movin' foreword, ya dwell to long in the past. And yer gonna miss all the fun stuff in future."

*Sniff*, "Yer right. It's just...," She puts a hoof over her chest, " hard to let go."

[Guest]

"Well, no pony said it was gonna be easy, but the result is gonna worth it. Ah'm sure."She smiles

[Tytan]

Clock's stopped crying, "I... I'll try. Thank you Ms... Cherry?"

Cherry nods"Yup, that's me. Ya can drop the Ms, though. Cherry will work just fine."

[Tytan]

"Okay... Cherry."

[Guest]

"Hey, don't mention it, Clock"She smiles then goes back to Searchlight's knife. After a few more minutes, she cleans the blade and gives it back to him"Here ya go. That should do'er fer while."

[Orm]

Searchlight takes back his knife, giving it a good look before putting it back in it's sheath. "Thank you, Cherry. I appreciate it."

[Guest]

"Don't mention it. Just tryin' ta do my part."She smiles

Tumble trots over to the walls joining the giant unicorn.

"Find anything?"

[Ironmonger]

"Nein. I am looking for anyzing zat vould stand out, like uncommon types of brass casings."

[Guest]

He raised an eyebrow. "Can you find out who hired them if you found some?"

[Ironmonger]

"Not directly, and it might not exactly vork. If it is an uncommon type of casing ve could cross-reference it vith who might have access to such zings to narrow down zeh search. My country used to use zat technique to determine if ve vere fighting Trottomanes."

[CamoBadger]

Searching the camp, nobody can seem to find anything that sticks out as important. Burnt corpses from the visitors that couldn't get out in time and the dead Talon guards litter the ground around the ashes that were once tents, but no sign of the attackers can be found.
The ponies who accompanied the spike-armored one don't seem like the type who attacked, being coated in dried blood and leather armor with nails punched out from the shoulders and back seem to indicate that they were raiders. The spot they were digging through is a pile of saddlebags filled with scrap and brass that they have been scavenging from the corpses.

"I don't think most merchants keep track of who they sell to. The ones that do probably aren't willing to share." He shrugs "Guess that's for Silver to deal with."

[Ironmonger]

He growls. "So much for zeh process of deductive reasoning. Perhaps ve should look vere zeh aggressors vere firing from during zeh attack. After all, we could not have seen zem and it could not hurt to check."

[Scyto Harmony]

"Yes, Hmm, Yes..." He prods one of the burnt bodies, "Yes, definitely a thorough and painful death." He looks up, "Can we uh, leave before the rest of them show up? I don't like the idea of being jerky."

[Guest]

"It's worth a shot." He trots off in that direction.

[Ironmonger]

Cast Iron turns to Mincemeat "Stop vining!" He trots to the site from which the shooters attacked.

[Tytan]

"Vultures picking flesh from the bones. I don't think these are the ponies that attacked us last night... Maybe some of the ones we killed last night are still there."

It doesn't take long for the big unicorn to discover the bodies, even though they've been stripped of their guns and ammo, either by the raiders that were just present, or the other attackers taking their guns before leaving. No noticeable symbols or uniforms are on any of the bodies he checks, in fact most of them aren't wearing anything or are wearing simple leather vests. A few have lightly armored barding as well.
The only distinguishing feature is that every single body is a ghoul.

[Scyto Harmony]

Mincemeat steps after Cast Iron, "Well..." He peers at the bodies, "That's odd, don't you think?" He prods the squishy face of a dead ghoul, "Grody."

[Guest]

Watches mincemeat poke the ghoul and deadpans. "Really?

[Ironmonger]

"I...do not know vat to zink of zis. Zeh only...ghoul...I have ever met is Searchlight and even zen I know nozzing of ghouls."

[Orm]

Searchlight followed the other to the site the attackers came from the night before. He paused upon seeing that all of the bodies he could see were ghouls.

[Guest]

He turns towards Cast. "Radiation kills them but they're too stubborn to stay that way."

[Ironmonger]

"...Zeh living dead. So it is a form of Necromancy?"

[Scyto Harmony]

"Not really," He says, starting to stomp on the head of the ghoul, "More of... Poetic horror."

[Ketchup]

Quiver examines one of the corpses.
"These ghouls weren't feral, judging from what I've heard of ferals. I wonder what makes these ones want to inhabit, and probably attack, this place."
