Charcoal stands there silently for a moment. "Yeah," he replies after a moment, still not facing her.

"And handy." Pulls grenade from it, smiles and puts it back. "Interested in something?"

"Lying isn't your strong suit. What's wrong?"

"If ya mean job wise, I used ta be EOD and repair stuff with the Enclave. Now just bounty huntin' and other odd jobs."

"Oh? I'm mechanic myself..explosives specialist...computers a little."

"Clock...I...I'm not really comfortable with Blossom poking into our...you know..." he replies to the mare after a while. "I mean...I know you two have been...close...but it hurts to have her questioning my intentions...I just want to make you happy Clock..."

"She's just concerned about my well being. I'm lucky I'm not a complete emotional wreck. I have nightmares nearly every night. Last night, with you there, was the first time I haven't had dreams in months.

I know your intentions are pure, and that's all that matters."

Cherry smiles"Nice ta meet another explosives expert. As fer caps, Shadow and ah make enough, ta get what we need."

"That's good. Dad sends away almost half of our payment." Half whispering to Blossom. "He won't confess about this, but he's sending them to his mother."

Charcoal turns to face Clock. "I'm sorry that I made you worry about me. I...I wasn't thinking. Wait..you have nightmares too?"

"He won me in poker game."

"Oh, that's one way. Ah guess..."

"Happens. He was one of guards with this slaver pony, they got poker game, he got lucky and won almost all caps. Slaver bet me against all those caps, dad won...well..slaver wasn't pleased. One thing led to another and last thing I know, he grabs me and flew away under rain of bullets." Brushes her mane. "It's been some time, till he grow attached to me and I become more than just zebra slave to him."

"Oh, okay that makes more sense then. The slavers didn't do anythin' ta ya did they?"She asks worriedly

"Every night. It's usually the faces of people I couldn't save blaming me. Sometimes I'm paralyzed and have to watch someone else raise my daughter. Every now and them my own guilt tears me apart...

Can't really call'em dreams."

"Aside from making me fix all their stuff, no. I was too young for any nasty stuff."

"I only get mine occasionally. I had it last night though, that's why I woke up so early to be honest. It's always the same thing though. I...I relive the events leading up to and including me getting this mechanical hoof...and the eye."

Snorts. "It's funny. Most folks thinks slavers are monsters. I'm not saying they're wrong. But they just..merchants. They, mostly, don't want their goods spoiled."
