Clock is surprised by the sudden flurry of movement. When he lets go and speaks into her ear she is stunned for a moment. She places a hoof on his back, "It's fine. Just... come back to bed."

[Katarn]

Walks by Char and Clock. "Bob said there's something interesting...up there." Novae points at roof. "I'll be there..." Walks past Char and for a few moments looks him in the eyes. "Watching." Smiles. "Have a good time both of ya." Happily trots away, humming some melody.

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal raises an eyebrow at the zebra mare, but then shrugs his shoulders and ignores what she said. "Alright," he says to Clock. ready to follow the mare inside.

[Tytan]

Clock lead him back inside to her room. She lays back down in bed and pulls the covers up. She looks up at Charcoal, "Come on, I promise I won't bite."

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal smiles softly at the mare, then sets his possessions down in the corner. He turns to Clock, and climbs back into the bed, laying down on the opposite side, giving her some space.

Still outside, Scorch takes off into the air, circling around the building for a few minutes before he lands on the roof.

[Tytan]

Clock kisses Charcoal on the nose, "Good night."

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal smiles at her, still not really believing his luck. "Good night Clock."

[Tytan]

Clock rolls over and starts snoring softly.

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal smiles to himself as he slowly drifts off to sleep.

At about five in the morning, Charcoal wakes with a start, his heart racing. He looks at Clock sleeping peacefully, glad that he hadn't woken her up with his sudden movement. Carefully, he gets up out of the bed, and grabs his things. He pulls out a scrap piece of paper, and writes a note on it, then pins it to the door. He carefully opens the door without a sound, and trots outside to get some things ready. After a while he returns to the building, entering the kitchen to prepare some food.

Some time later Clock wakes up. The bed next to her was messed up and Charcoal was gone. She got out of bed and matted down her mane. She moves to the door and finds a note pinned to it. She reads it and it tells her to go to the kitchen. She walks through the common room to the kitchen. She opens the door and is greeted by the smell of breakfast cooking.

Charcoal looks up at the mare from his place standing at the stove. "Hey. I kinda woke up a little early, so i figured I had some time to get some things for breakfast. I found a nice plump radhog out by itself. I hope you all like ham and bacon."

[Tytan]

Clock sits at the table, "Bacon? Can't remember the last time I had that."

[XT Vengeance]

"Well I got enough for everyone. Here," he says, passing her a plat with some bacon on it. "The potatoes aren't quite ready yet. I had to get the grease from the bacon first," he says, stirring up the sliced potatoes in the pan.

[Tytan]

"It smells delicious. Can't wait to try it."

[XT Vengeance]

"It's a recipe my mother taught me. Pretty simple though, all you need is some potatoes and something to fry them in," he says, stirring the contents of the pan with his mechanical fingers gripping a spoon.

[Tytan]

Clock looks at the mechanical hoof, "Does your hoof have sensation simulators? That grease has gotta burn."

[XT Vengeance]

"No, it doesn't. I've just kinda gotten used to it though. I hardly had enough money to cover the cost as it was," he replies to her. "And that was including all the stuff we salvaged form the wreck of my parent's caravan."

[Tytan]

Clock thinks for a moment, "If you can get the parts I can fix it up for free."

[XT Vengeance]

"Fix what? Nothing is broken," he says confused. "It's just a mechanical leg. I've had it for eight years," he adds, not sure why the mare thought it was supposed to be able to feel.

[Tytan]

"I mean upgrade it. I haven't had a lot of practice, but I'm pretty good with cybernetics. It's relatively easy to hook up sensation simulators. I'll be like you have your hoof back."

[XT Vengeance]

"You...you could do that?" he says, pausing in his stirring. "I...it's been years since I could even remember what that felt like. You would do that for me?"

[Tytan]

"Well, you're cooking me breakfast. The least I can do is allow your leg to replicate the sensations of flesh and blood."

[XT Vengeance]

"The least? Clock...that means a lot more to me than you think..." he says to her. "I have some spare parts I keep around for repairs, but I can go looking for more later," he says, regaining his composure. He turns back to the cubed potatoes, all of them having turned a nice golden-brown color. He pulls the pan off of the stove and sets it on a hot mat. He sprinkles a little pepper on them, then puts a spoonful on her plate.

[Tytan]

"Well, let me see what you've got and we'll see if it's enough." She spears a few cubes of potato with her fork and chews them. They're deliciously salty and peppery, and the outsides are just crispy enough. "Oh, these're nice!"

[XT Vengeance]

"I'm glad you like them. My mom called them hashbrowns," he says, smiling at the mare.

[Tytan]

"They're very nice. I kinda wish Fry Pan was half a good as cook as you."

[XT Vengeance]

"Fry Pan? Is that a friend of your's?"

[Tytan]

"He was the cook for my caravan."

[XT Vengeance]

"Well, my mom always said it was easier to cook for ponies you really like. He probably just didn't have a spice rack like me though..." he adds quickly, trying to cover his slip up.
