Clock opens a cupboard and smiles, "How do you feel about breakfast for dinner?"

"That's fine with me, I'm sure she'd like it."

"Eight hundred is good if you can get it. Most of my work ends up in a more urban environment, so I'm lucky if I can get two hundred. Scorch here like to fly out and light the assholes that get into cover on fire. Any that try to run get shot."

"Yeah, out by Dodge Junction is mostly country side so, it's nice fer distances, just kinda sparse on cover."He chuckles"Ain't like that's a problem though, not when ya can make yer own anyways."

[Tytan]

"Good." She pulls out some jars and a loaf of bread. "Preserves. Strawberry, plum, blueberry, peach. And bread for toast."

Whisper grins"That sounds great! Now, we just gotta find a toaster..."He looks at Clock and blushes"Do ya know how ta use a toaster? All the ones I come across are broken..."

[Tytan]

"Wasteland could do with a toaster repairpony. I'm sure it's not to hard." Clock gives the toaster on the counter a look over. She puts the bread in the slot, pushes the lever, and waits.

Whisper walks over and looks at the toaster wait for something to happen."Yeah, ya have point. Can't be any harder then what we do, right?"

[Tytan]

"Just because we can stop a pony from dying doesn't mean we can fix a-" *POP!* "Woah holy crap!" Clock rears up.

[Guest]

Whisper jumps"What the hay was that?"

[Tytan]

Clock looks around the room, then she looked to the toaster, "I think it was your dinner."

[Guest]

"Oh, heh, right. That."He chuckles.

[Tytan]

"Damned thing just about gave me a heart attack." She puts the toast on a plate and puts some more bread in the toaster. "So how long have you been seeing Emma?"

[Guest]

"It's been about, five months now.*Beat*Wow, it's been that long already. Feels like it's only been a couple a days."Smiles

[Tytan]

"Love. It's a hell of a drug. Make a day feel like a minute, and make a minute feel like an eternity."

[Guest]

"Yeah, it does. But I don't mind, long as we're both happy."He smiles

[Tytan]

Clock stares at the toaster, "That's a good attitude to have. Honestly I probably shouldn't be giving you advice. I've never had a relationship that lasted longer than a week."

[Guest]

"R-really? But ya seem ta know a lot..."He grabs the toast and starts to spread the preserves

[Tytan]

"I'm just sayin' what sounds right. I've never had a healthy relationship. That week long record holder was a patient. She was a junkie in Flank. So strung out on Moon Dust she could barely walk straight. She came to me looking for a detox. I helped her, and when she was as clean as I could get her I thought we were in love. That all crashed in around my ears when I found her passed out in a gutter, high as the sky on Dust she bought using caps I'd given her."

Whisper looks down"Oh... I'm sorry ta hear that, Ms.Clock."

[Tytan]

"Funny thing is her name was Moon Dust. Probably should have seen a relapse coming a mile away."

[Guest]

"That is kinda funny, and sad, but I'm sure ya did the best ya could."

[Tytan]

"That's the thing most people don't know about becoming a doctor. We invite a lot of heartache into our lives. We can't shut it out or we'll be heartless monsters, and we can't take it all in because... because no one deserves that."

[Guest]

Whisper sighs"Y-yeah, I...I know. It's not goin' ta be fun, but somepony's gotta do it and I don't mind since it's helpin' folks. So, as long as got someone ta help me out, I'll be fine."

[Tytan]

"That's why we do it. Just remember that when your first patient dies. I nearly didn't. But daddy was there to help me through."

[Guest]

Whisper looks down"I...I'll try ta remember that, Ms.Clock"

[Tytan]

"But more importantly than that, remember the folks you help. Remember every single one."

[Guest]

"That I can do. I see'em just 'bout everyday. So, that I know I can do."

[Tytan]

"Good, I've met some who forgo-" *POP* Clock jumps, "Gahdammit! It's like it waits for me to stop paying attention."
