That always confused me. Why would Blackjack need laser pointer eyes... unless it can be upgraded to laser eyes. Mwahaha!

I suspect that there's some sort of integrated targeting system that Blackjack doesn't know how to turn on. (Or maybe it requires compatible peripherals, read guns, which she doesn't have.)

Since it's laser eyes that others do see, then methinks it links to something external that requires sighting, kinda like the Ponymedes from Pink Eyes. Maybe it links to a subsystem in the core?

Yeah... I finished the Hanako and Shizune paths and then got distracted part of the way through the Lilly path.

I'm not sure about Blackjack at the moment; her physical issues are pretty much taken care of. Cancery, one-eyed wobbly-legged Blackjack probably could, if... Though, actually, considering the state of 99's educational system, maybe going through highschool would help.

Hm. Rereading the latest chapter reinforced my wanting of the nuke to go off. Seriously, Trixie memory manipulation on Blackjack?

Yeah. When the chapter first came out, I commented that it was am important Kick The Dog moment, to remind us that whatever sympathy we have for Trixie's hard life (however self inflicted it was), what she is today is a monster in every sense of the term, who has cast off every impulse that could possibly motivate her to Do Better. It means we are ready to see her destroyed without remorse.

(there's a "in soviet russia" pun here xP) But sadly so far, society seems to be working hard in the other direction to lower self esteem and whatnot, telling them it's wrong to be "masculine". And I'm having a "just woke up" ramble ^=^'

Like "Oh, it's been a whole month since last" or that "they didn't want to do x" or one of my personal facepalms "they weren't okay with just giving, I had to give something back/refused to do it, so I didn't get any. I hate selfish people" (yes, I've actually run across a few of the later, or well, have friends tell me about them for the majority. It's a bit like all the whiny teens complaining how "they didn't get this years latest Iphone model, having to stick with the crappy last years model, they have the worst parents and fml!"... I really am trailing off here, seeing how it is 18:00, I might should eat for the first time today. And for the record, yes, I do have the rights to complain on spoiled/bratty teens. I have a phone that's so old it's illegal xD (no really, it doesn't have a "tracking chip", so my calls can't be traced) and it was ~6 years ago since last time.

Side note: Again, I am still grumpy over the fact the one good argument about the latest chapter went ignored. It was a badly executed scene, both story and character wise. (and yes, I hold grudges for way longer than necessary xD It's just a really bad flaw of mine)

Oh thank god, I thought we only had those in the US. My brother has some friends like that (I grew up in a *little* bit of a 'rich' city, not proud of it, hated almost everyone there), they liked to whine that their parents only bought them an $80K car instead of something more expensive. My brother tended to fall into this habit as well when he started getting further into highschool, but not nearly as annoying.
And on the iPhone thing...my god I hate those things. 1st off: I don't know if you see this where you live, but kids who are like 8 running around with cell phones is just pointless in my mind. Especially when it's a brand new iPhone that their parent's bought and gave them unlimited texting and all that crap. Why does a kid need that?
