All in all, a good chapter. Fell asleep during it again, delaying how long it took me to read - though that was out of a mixture of back pain, laying down and simply being in a bloody lazy mood today.
Saturday's off for me are literally rarer then gold dust, excluding holidays.
Honestly? I don't remember the last Saturday I had off which wasn't a holiday.

The bit with them talking about home, I've always been told to separate speech like that, it's the only way I know how to do it. I've tried other things in the past, but it just looks wrong to me (I think that's what you're talking about, if not, I apologize))

Because you've seen two of the characters in a closer detail, and one in semi-detail. Even for as short a time as Shayle & Felix spent there, they got to know the characters well enough to make a credible relevance if they were to be put in harms way... especially if Shayle & Felix were a part of the group who PUT them in harms way.

Lil Doc is also of interest to Felix, though we haven't really seen much from his side of things yet.

Okay, basically I'm guessing because Shayle and Felix told those zebras (at least vaguely) about Shanty they're going to go they're and kill the ponies there.

There's my guess.
I'm pretty sure something like that is going to happen.
And if I'm wrong I'm sure I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I'll say that Shanty will show up again, but the way they show up may surprise you. Whether that is a good surprise or bad surprise you'll have to decide yourself when it happens, but I think it'll be pretty interesting. Probably won't be for a while, but it will come up.
