Rouge was walking towards saloon, in town not far away from New Hope. It was her first assignment, since she joined New Hope’s guard forces. Even though this town wasn’t under direct jurisdiction of New Hope, it was part of NCR and if there was any trouble, it should be dealt with.

Remember, since you’ve joined law force, you must fallow laws, protect others and be example for them. Though, sometimes, hoof of law must be forced against scum.

Words of her grandfather echoed in her mind, as she proceed closer to saloon.

You don’t have to announce, that you’re from guard, as soon as you get in town. It would be even better, if you could look as casual as possible. And since you have...unique appearance, you must find a way to hide your wings, till the right time.

She checked long duster, which covered her from neck to tail, making it almost impossible to identify her wings.
“Any suggestions, Kitt?” She asked.
“So far so good.” Soft voice told her through hidden earphone.

Keep your weapons always ready to fire. If you need to capture somepony, be ready, that they will resist.

She rechecked guns in her holsters and make sure, that safeties were off.

For the right price, from the right pony you can get any needed information.

Rouge approached bartender and said softly. “I’m looking for Double Down.” Though she thought, that she said it quiet, she heard from behind.
“Well, well, well. Another lawpony looking for me, eh?”
But how? I didn’t say it that loud, where did he came from, what should I do?
This thought run through her mind, as she slowly turned around to see yellow unicorn, with set of knives on his chest.

Easiest way to disable, even temporary, your opponent, it’s damage his weakpoints. For unicorns it will be horns, even if bullet will scratch horn, without hitting anything else, magic will be disrupted, giving you upperhoof, if you manage shatter your opponent’s horn, you could say, that you won. If you fight against pegasi, aim for wings, hitting them will cause great amount of pain and pegasi won’t be able to fly for a while. With earth ponies it’s complicated, they are tough, I give them that. Try aiming at legs and no matter what, don’t go in close combat with them. And if your opponent is griffin...for now, I have only one suggestion for you in that case, run.

Rogue pointed both her guns at Double Down. “By the name of law, you’re under arrest, submit your weapons and---”
She was cutted off with laughter, from unicorn. “What makes you think, that I will go with you?” He pulled knife, with TK and was ready to throw it at Rogue.

To good to be true. That was the first thing that crossed through Shayle's mind once the pony had finished proposing his offer. It all sounded too good to be true; a safe place to live, a school for Felix to continue his classes, a clinic for him to learn more medicine like he wanted, friends for him to play with...maybe even some for her to meet...

Part of her mind instantly screamed "yes, yes, yes," over and over again, unable to resist what the pony had offered. And yet, most of her was saying that it couldn't possibly be true, could it? There had to be a catch somewhere, some job they wanted her to do or some payment she needed to cough up in the future.

[PERCEPTION] But the look on the pony's face told her everything. The sadness in his eyes, the sincerity in his voice; he couldn't be lying, not with the way he was acting.

She looked to her brother briefly, still happily chowing down on the dough treat he had been given. It was the first time she had seen him truly happy since they had left, and she missed seeing his face as he would gallop off to play with friends in the village; his joy at the newest knowledge from class.

Turning back, Shayle smiled and placed her hoof on the pony's. Regardless of if this decision may come back to bite her in the future, she had to accept his offer for the sake of her brother, and maybe even herself.

"What is this town of yours called?"

A smile crosses Nova's face. Deep within him, he can almost feel the last treads of darkness that lingered on his soul from his past, almost melt away.

He gets to his feet, pulling out his money bag with his TK and handing it to Shayle. "Here's a few hundred caps. Use this to buy some supplies for you and your brother, then meet me back at my stage. I don't have a cart, and it's a bit of a ways away."

When she asks about the name, he can't help but smile.

"I think you'll like it. Kind of puts your situation into perspective."

"New Hope."

Even the name sounded too good to be true, and yet it seemed that this was actually happening. With a smile, Shayle took the bag of caps shakily, never having even been close to 'a few hundred' of anything except cigarettes and bottles. "T-thanks," she said in surprise, not exactly sure if 'thanks' was an adequate term for the constantly growing offer from the still unnamed pony.

Not wishing to make him wait, and honestly due to excitement about getting out of the Wasteland and into an actual home again, Shayle quickly spun to her brother and pulled him up to his hooves. "Come on Felix, we need to get some supplies."



"Why are we rushing? We just got here?" the colt said in annoyance as he pulled his mane out of Shayle's mouth.



"I can explain while we shop, now come on!" she pleaded, walking quickly toward the town's markets.



"You've said that way too much lately sis."

*Groans as she wakes up. Those bandits weren't easy, and everything that didn't hurt was sore, but she was home. And that was more than enough for her right now. Getting up, she walked into the kitchen to see the rest of her family already having breakfeast*

In same moment, when Rogues was about to make her move, door of saloon opened wide and mare in red and black full body suit shouted and runned towards bartender. “Hey, buck, do you happen to have--”
In this moment of hesitation, Rogue lost her guard and Double Down threw knife at her, but instead knife pierced strange mare’s head...though it looked like, she didn’t care. “--cherrychanga?”
“Don’t stood there, shoot!” Shouted earpiece.

Now, Rogue, I know first time to end ponie’s life is hard and most ponies like yo will gladly give away their life, than take one. But ask one question - ‘What will be better, if you he live and keep spreading misery around or you’ll live and keep helping folks around?’
Two shoots from her pistols sounded like one. First bullet pierced DD’s left ear, other hitted his horn and shattered along with it, sending him on ground convulse in pain.
‘Next time, I’ll answer that question, grandpa..’ Rouge whispered.

“So, do you have some?” Mare asked again.
Bartender, eyes wide, just shook his head.
Mare sighed.
“Um...are you allright?” Rouge asked mare.
“No! I’m not alright, it’s third salon today and they don’t have cherrychanga too!”
“No..I mean..knife in your head...”
Mare reached head with her hoof. “Oh and I was thinking, what’s tingling my senses.” She tilted head a little and pulled knife with help of both her hooves. “There, much better. You know, you supposed to kill that pony?”
“I what? B-b-but I was suppose to bring him alive..and what are you saying anyway?!”
“Well, duh! It what that creep, he decided to do it in first place, but then he changed his mind.”
“Who..are you talking about my grandfather?!” Rouge started to get angry with every word.
“Nah, he’s good, I’m talking about...” She paused.
“About who?”
“What, oh, I forgot” mare giggled, only now Rogue noticed two swords on her back and two pistols in holsters on her legs...how could earth pony handle them, was beyond her understanding. “Hey, don’t be racist, earth ponies have some magic in them too!” With that mare turned around and walked away, leaving Rogue sitting in confusion in saloon.
“Don’t forget to tie your criminal!” Mare shouted from outside.
Rouge blinked few times and muttered “Right..first - do the job, ask questions later...” With this she started tying down Double Down.

Azure wakes up holding Mr.Cuddlesworth and when she looks around she notices she's in her room.
"Wha? How did I?"

Whisper walks into Azure's room, when he sees she's awake rushes over and gives her hug
"Yer awake! Are ya feelin' better?*Yawn*Ya don't have ta worry bout that happenin' again, sweetie."

She returns the hug then looks at Whisper
"Daddy, ya look awful, did ya get any sleep last night?"

He shakes his head
"No, I...I was makin'*yawns*sure you and yer sister were okay?"
He looks at a clock and realizes the time
"Aw, hell. I'm late fer work, Saltine's gonna be pissed."

"Daddy, go to sleep, I can find someone to cover for ya."

"No, no I can*yawn* I can work."



"No, sis, we haven't told Isaac yet."
She looks at Whisper
"Mama, can ya get daddy ta bed? He's actin' up again."

*sighs and gets up from the table* "Whisper..." *She grabs him and leads him to their room* "Someone else will cover for you, go to sleep."

Whisper follows Terra then lays down on his bed

He falls asleep.

Azure gets up
"I'll go find someone."
She starts to leave the house
