Mav, you underestimate us. The tribes are organized, our people and warriors are numerous, and we have resources at our disposal that you cannot even imagine.

You have seen what I can do and I am merely a journeyman, you have no idea what our great warriors and master shamans are capable of. You haven't even seen the capabilities of the other tribes either. A moose once put an adult dragon into a sleeper hold. A single elk warrior once fell an Ursa Major. The Pudu's magic is powerful enough to turn away death and reverse rot. And years of rivalry between the Blacktails and the Whitetails have bread some of the finest warriors and shamans the world has seen in over three hundred years.

The question is not whether the deer are ready for the wastes. It is whether the wastes are ready for the deer.

*Steps up* That's what we're saying Willow. I DON'T think the wastes are ready. We fear what is stronger then us, and the deer, as you describe them, are much stronger.

I don't want another war to break out just because we aren't ready.

You do not have to worry, between the Whitetails, the Pudus, and the Moose, their will only be peaceful interactions.

Besides, there is a reason why the Deer were not the greatest nation prior to the war.

It is the curse and the blessing of the spirits. The spirits provide us with whatever we need, be it land, food, or protection, but if we attempt to wage war against another race for the purpose of increasing our standing among the nations of the world, the spirits will abandon us, our lands wither, our food rots, and disease spreads.

We can wage war, but only to defend our way of life or destroy an evil. Once our lands are secure and the evil vanquished, however, we must stop or suffer the curse.

Azure jumps off of Terra's back and onto Whisper's.

He smiles and nuzzles Azure.

He hugs her back.

"I think so. We could set up camp here though, I'm sure both you an Crys are beat from flyin' us around all day."

"Fine with me, I think I was actually startin' ta miss sleepin' outside anyways."

"Yeah... probably for the best we rest. But if it's the same to ya'll... I don't think I'm going inside for a while. Think the sky wagon will suit me fine tonight."
