Last time I looked I think it was at least 50 miles off my actual location.

That's because it goes off of where the tower/routing center/whatever your connection uses, not your actual computer.
Before I moved, mine was over 100 miles off of where I actually was.

My girlfriend wants to try this stuff out. I kinda do, too, it sounds neat. If they can keep the price reasonable and mass-manufacture it, that'd be good stuff.

The thought of people lining up to try this is funny to me. Reminds me of the nutrient paste Tali ate when you met her in the first mass effect, if I remembering right she only ate it because she couldn't afford anything else. Which is the point of this right? A cheap food substitute?

I mean you wouldn't line up at a soup kitchen for that culinary experience.

Maybe it's more appealing if you're one of those doomsday guys with crates of MREs in the basement.

Well swicked, Maybe look into Ensure. They've been making the claim for a good while that their shakes can replace meals. My sister used them while she was sick (Trouble keeping solids down.) they taste like flavored chalk, but the shakes this guys is proposing apparently don't taste any better.
