Maybe it would help if I'd actually seen this video, but I can't quite get why there would be a facepalm. Is it just because it makes fun of tumblr and is being criticized on tumblr?

IIRC it makes fun of tumblr for doing the exact thing that's being done there - complaining about things being offensive. On the one hand, the post is unremarkably unreflective on the video's criticism; on the other... I'm not sure what else anyone was supposed to expect the response to be.

I woke up to find out that the OC Roleplay group actually accepted my character. Despite my justified fears, the Character Admin fortunately had a good head on their shoulders. The only issue was that they didn't know what a luthier was, but the character was accepted after an explanation.

I know something like this probably sounds trivial but...I'm one happy panda now. Now, to make a character who is essentially a troll.

Except that in movies, books, etc it's almost required to have at least one plot hole or inconsistency if you want your heroes to ever actually accomplish anything, especially in a good-ending scenario. Even the Lord of the Rings (the books, not the movies) had several inconsistencies and plot holes. It's just one of those things that's going to happen in any sort of story media you make.

Haven't seen it myself, but Plan 9 is one of those movies you watch to laugh at how bad it is. Its the kind of film the MST3 guys rip into for fun. It was The Room of its time. It's rated so high because everybody needs to see how bad it is.
