So...I had a really odd dream about a pokemon game last night.

It was like yellow version, in that you didn't choose a starter, you were forced to have a certain one. Except it wasn't given to you. It started off with you getting a starter, but it doesn't like you, and you end up in a fight with Team-Rocketish assholes, but your pokemon runs off. So then the assholes tell their pokemon to attack you, and obviously bad things are about to happen.

Well, suddenly two pokemon jump out of nowhere (A spider-humanoid thing, and what looked like a bear with insect armor), and save you from assholes. So they save you, but only after you've gotten some pretty bad injuries. Well, then they take you to the hospital, but you pass out on the way. When you wake up, the doctor tells you that you just woke up there, and the guy who gave you your starter asks what happened. You tell him the story, and he apologizes for giving you a pokemon that wasn't fully understood yet (don't know what happens to that thing).

Anyways, he says he would offer you another pokemon, but he doesn't have any at the moment and apologizes. You take the chance to rest, and remember that you were saved by those two pokemon. So, after being released from the hospital, you go back to find them, and they both start following you around for some reason. The professor guy says that it might be because they see something in you, but he can't figure out what it might be. Then he tries to take one of them, but they absolutely refuse to be separated, so both of them just stay with you.

Then Pokemon game.

Anyways, for their final evolutions, the two pokemonses don't evolve individually, they end up fusing together somehow in an odd as hell evolution that turns them into one pokemon who either uses the types and abilities of the spider thing, or the bear-bug based on what time of day it is. At night it's primarily the spider, during the day it's mainly the bugbear.

It was fucking weird.

Welp, I managed to catch a Rhydon in pokemon, aside from possibly my absol, it's currently the only pokemon I got of enough size and strength for me to ride on... even if I will level medic before rider, I still need to find a damn ponyta to mount xD

That's actually kinda funny. There was a game that's a little similar to your dream. It's called pokemon colliseum. You start the game as a member of the team rocket of the region, but then you steal one of their devices (Which you learn is used for stealing pokemon later.) then proceed to blow up their shit.

Your starters are Espeon and Umbreon the two Eevee evolutions that evolve based on time of day.

Probably has the most horrifying combat system of all fucking time.
"Oh, look, 10 enemies that I can kill in one hit with the only weapon I have.

Too bad the only weapon I have is this giant fucking ball that I can only push or pull. I can't spin it or swing it, and the enemies are fully capable of dodging it and throwing a fireball at me. No, this isn't terrifying, especially not if I end up in a tight space and the ball is BEHIND me, hell no."

So you're saying it's hard...on a scale of 1 to Contra-with-no-konami-code where is it?

It's not up to Contra yet.
And as of now, it's not really hard, but then again I've only finished 2 levels. It's less hard and more precise kind of stuff. If you had a gun, it would be super easy, but because your only defense and offense is this ball, you have to make sure it's always in the right place or you're going to get fireballed in the ass, or you're going to throw it at something and cry when you miss and have to pull the ball back to try again.
