You know that duck dynasty shit that's been going on for a while?  Now people that oppose same-sex marriage are equating the guy to jesus and saying stuff along the lines of, "Jesus was persecuted for his beliefs and so is (whatever the fuck that guy's name is)" and saying that merely opposing the same-sex marriage bans in states is persecuting christians and saying it's hate speech to christians.



Why am I getting spiddy sense that one day there will be someone out there that will try to pass a bill through congress to try to strip the bill of rights and remove the inalienable rights?

I finally got around to listening to Meshuggah, and I must say that I love their unique style. On another note, the more I listen to heavy metal, the more I am inspired to take up learning the electric guitar. I've written guitar riffs in my mind on a regular basis for years, but I'm never able to actually play them. I've been looking around at the various manufacturers, and I've decided to get an Ibanez RG8 after I learn the basics.

...where have you been?
That stuff happens all the time. Since the beginning of the USA, really.
The entire purpose of the supreme court is to stop anything that violates the constitution, the most important part of which are those unalienable rights.
One whole branch, just for that, right there.

The sad thing is this is so true that it hurts.

I was talking more along the lines of how the people that oppose legalizing same-sex marriage are pulling the, "Help help I'm being oppressed" card about how they're losing so much ground so fast.  I would not be surprised if when same-sex marriage heads back up to the supreme court(the utah thing) their lawyer is going to pull the, "Legalizing same-sex marriage violates my beliefs so I appeal to strip other people's righ. . . . . . . . Wait. . Fuck. . I just remembered with DOMA they actually did try to pull this.  I just made myself super depressed in that's really sad that our highest court of law actually has individuals trying to make claim to the court that giving other people rights is the same as oppressing someone's beliefs.
